High and Mighty?

Hi Musiclovers,
There was a tune back in the early 50s, maybe late 40s, entitled "Once I Was High and Mighty." Does this sound familiar to anyone? I can't find a thing on the song. I remember being thrilled by its soaring music and powerful lyrics, even as a little boy.

The High and the Mighty. It's a John Wayne air force-type film...the whole thing is whistled with an orchestral background in the soundtrack.
My mom used to whistle it while she vacuumed.
