You Can’t Stop The Rain



Well I wish the rain would end
Just as fast as your love did
No need to sit and wonder why
Just trying to see the brighter side

I hear it only takes time
I really should have known
After all it wasn’t that long ago
That I had been down your road

You can’t stop the rain from falling down
You can’t pick my heart up
When it’s broken on the ground
Will I find the pieces?
Or will they wash away?
One thing’s for certain…you can’t stop the rain

Some will say I fell too fast
Others say it wasn’t meant to last
And the tears they fill my eyes
Still looking for your smile.

You can’t stop the rain from falling down
You can’t pick my heart up

One thing’s for certain…you can’t stop the rain

Now I am back to what I know
And the beer still tastes the same
But I am left with one question.
What happened to the rain?
