Second Request for Help

this is my second shot at trying to get the name of a song.

I'll try to add to some of the lyrics I thought I heard:


"You can't deny it, you're a (suspect, spectre) of love"


The voice sounded like Smashmouth (I am sure it is not them)

Hopefully this is enough clues for someone to help.
