Red face quick question about the spanish language

    Sorry if it's vulgar.

My coworkers and I joke around with eachother all the time.
So a lot of dirty slang is used. They're all from Central America.

They use the verb "chichar" a lot.
    Chiche.
    Chichando
    Chichador
    Chichadora.

Is this a vulgar way of refering to sex, like "f--king" in english?
    Or is it semi polite?
    Or just completely crude?
Would a boyfriend and girlfriend use it to refer to making love?
    Haha, thanks.

    Default chiches are boobs

Chiches are boobs, tits, breasts. My late husband would talk about them to me, but not in public!!

I only know the noun, and then another noun, chichero, is slang for "bra." To make a verb out of it is a little crazy-- but then slang is pretty crazy anyway.

So chichando would be "boobing" -- draw your own conclusions about that
    Chichador, male, one who "boobs"
Chichadora, the female with the boobs (I'm guessing, might mean a lesbian, probably not though)

This is based on the suffixes (endings.)
    Hope it helps.

Whether or not you are offended depends on your personality and your relationship with these guys. They may just be doing the "piropo" thing-- a hispanic cultural custom, a crude way of offering compliments-- which means you are supposed to pretend to ignore them. If you are not offended by coworkers saying, "nice rack" then I guess you wouldn't be offended by this either.

On the other hand, you could ask your boss to call them on it, because in THIS country it's considered sexual harassment. When I was young I had to put up with a LOT of that crap ( I had/have a nice rack too) because nobody ever heard of the idea of anything being sexual harassment. But nowadays it's different.

I had some Puerto Rican friends who used that word for "copulation," but by their reaction, it's a completely vulgar expression. Clearly not safe to use in polite company. The apparent similarity with the mexican word for breasts may only be coincidence, but I assure you: You're quite correct.
