Need some help with this song

Hey gang! first time here but i'm desperate to find this song...

I know VERY little about it... i don't know the artist or even how part of the lyrics go... but i DO know this

A.) It's sung by female (youngish)
B.) it's played on the "hit" music stations so it must be relatively new
C.) The song is from the girls' perspective and her boyfriend is trying to break up with her but he is really dragging it out. The emphasis of the song is her telling him to just get it over with and stop lingering because that only makes it worse.

I think you need to give more specific details about the song cause you know the world is full of that kinda songs like the one you defined

yeah i know there are tons of songs out there like this one... which is why it's so frustrating that I can't remember specifics.

The biggest clue i have is that despite it's cliche-ness it HAS to be fairly new. Made within probably no more than the past year or two because it was on the "new hits" radio station.

I looked up the sara barielles song and that wasn't it great try though!!
