Sounds Like White Stripes but isnt

Hello. I was listining to my local radio station today and I hear a song that sounds like the white stripes but when I got home I could not find the name of it. It has a guitar riff at the first that sounds a bitl like '' What I like about you '' . Any help would be greatly appreciated

Maybe something by The Raconteurs? Jack White pays guitar in both. Do you remember any of the words in it?

I do not remember any of the words. I just remember that it was very fast paced and was hard to make out. It had a guitar solo / effects near the end and it was a pretty good song

Ugh... this has been bugging me for a few days. I have no idea who it was either... and I REALLY liked it. It had a definite garage band sound... but was heavy on the guitar effects and manipulation. There were maybe two guitars and only drums, real simple stuff... but it had a really catchy lick. I cannot for the life of me remember any lyrics either. I also kept thinking about Jet too when I heard it.

Anyone got any more ideas?

I know exactly what you heard - at first I thought it was Jack White's new band THe Dead Weather. After a frantic search I figured out the band from a line or two of the lyrics I could remember. The song is "Ain't No Rest For the Wicked" and the band is Cage the Elephant. Check it out, lemme know if my assumption is correct. Peace.

tr123, thanks man. i was looking for a song that i didnt know who it was by, but kinda sounded like white stripes. it wasnt the song you posted but it was a different one by caged elephant. they are actually a pretty cool band.
