I accidentally found this song and really fell for it. The only thing, I can't figure who it's by or its real title. In the middle of the song there's a sound byte from the motion picture "Blade Runner" as spoken by Rutger Hauer's character in his dying scene. It's mainly a guy accompanied with an acoustic guitar and electronic strings, with a voice and style similar to Chris DeBurgh (Lady In Red) or like a newer group called Midlake (Young Bride).
Here are the lyrics as I'm hearing them:
Hear my excuses
You won't back a loser
All these things.....(illegible)
(illegible)
Hear my excuses
You won't back a loser
All these things when you crawl back home
under the stars, for me
I won't let you down, I got more to lose, than you will ever know,
than you can ever use
Hear my excuses
You won't back a loser
All these things laying at your feet
The scraps you leave, for me
Hear my excuses
You won't back a loser
Turn my pride to rot
as you play God, again
I won't let you down, I got more to lose, than you will ever know,
than you can ever use
Be an old man bitter
Old man twisted
Old means nothing when the white flag is lifted
I won't let you down, I got more to lose, than you will ever know,
than you can ever use
(Instrumental Solo)
Roy Batty (Rutger Hauer from Blade Runner): "All these moments will be lost in time...like tears in the rain."
Hear my excuses
You won't back a loser
All these things, pass away the blame
Make me stand again
I won't let you down, I got more to lose, than you will ever know,
than you can ever use
Be an old man bitter
Old man twisted
Old means nothing when the white flag is lifted
I won't let you down, I got more to lose, than you will ever know,
than you can ever use
There's nothing more to lose
There's nothing more to lose
There's nothing more to lose
Any help would sure be appreciated.
Thank you!
