Here my translation of this new song of Laura Pausini. http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=ynENKdz-Nk
I I'm sure there will be errors, so please take care and/or correct them. I'm even not sure of the translation of the title
Forse bastava respirare, solo respirare un pò
Maybe it was enough to breath, only breath a bit
fino a riprendersi ogni battito
To make a end of recovering every battle
e non cercare l'attimo, per andar via (non andare via)
and not looking for a moment, for going away (not going away)
perchè non può essere abitudine
because there can't be a habit
dicembre senza te, chi resta qui spera l'impossibile
December without you, who stays here hoping the things impossible
Invece no, non c'è più tempo per spiegare
But no, there is no more time for explain
per chiedere se ti avevo dato amore
for aksing if I had given you love
io sono qui e avrei da dire ancora, ancora
I'm here and had to say you still
Perche si spezzano tra i denti
Maybe if they break between the teeth
le cose più importanti
the most important things
quelle parole che non osiamo mai
these words which we never dare (?)
e faccio un tuffo nel dolore, per farle risalire
And I make a dive in the pain, for bringing it back up
portarle qui, una per una qui
Take it here, one for one here
le senti tu pesano e si posano per sempre su di noi
you feel it weighting on you and lay it aside for ever on us (?)
e se manchi tu, io non so riperterle io non riesco a dirle più
And if I miss you, I don't know how to repeat it, I don't succeed to say it more
Invece no, qui piovono i ricordi
But no, here it rains memories
ed io farei di più, di ammettere che è tardi
And I will do it more, admitting who is late
come vorrei, poter parlare ancora ancora
Like I would, be able to speak still, still
E Invece no, non ho più tempo per spiegare
And but no , I don't have any more time to explain
avevo anchio, io qualcosa da sperare davanti a me
I had it also something to hope for in front of me
qualcosa da finire insieme a te.
Something to end, together with you
Forse mi basta respirare
Maybe it's enough to breath
solo respirare un pò
Only breathing a bit
Forse è tardi, forse invece no.
Maybe it's too late, maybe not

Good work rcsmit! If you're a native French speaker it is easy for you to understand the sense of the words and of the idiomatic expressions.
A good example is "se manchi tu" that in French would be "si tu manques"; the translation is not "if I miss you", but "if you are not here".
Then, the title can be translated "But no" or simply "No".

Thank you very much for your corrections! I appreciate it really!!!
The funny thing is: I'm a Dutchman living in France working in a resort with a mouse with big ears. My native language is Dutch, I live in a French world and I'm also speaking English and working on Italian. (BTW I'm also speaking german and a little little bit spanish)
Sometimes it makes it easier to translate, but often also more difficult because french or dutch words/phrases are popping up earlier than English. -
Well, you are quite lucky to be able to understand so many foreign languages!
Keep it up!
