Hey, I would like to know how to write the following names in Arabic
Amaya
Riham
Hutun
Hafa
Thanks in advance -
jihan are you sure these names are arabic ????
Amaya ..... امية
Riham ...... ريهام
Hutun ..... هوتون (im not sure about this)
Hafa ...... هافا -
-
hutun
may be it is iten
ايتن
i beleive it is a turkish name but used in arabic.. -
I don't know...I hoped you could have told me
Anyhow, I didn't check if they are Arabic or not, I got it from another side...but now I looked them up in the Internet and you can find them on almost every site for so called "Muslim Names" or "Arabic Names"
I gotta write the definitions what I found from the Internet...maybe it helps
Amaya = rain of the night
Riham (or Reeham) = soft rain
Hutun = rain carrying clouds, rainy cloud (something like that)
Hafa (no I don't mean Haifa) = gentle rain
Due to a special task I am looking for a proper female arabic name that means something with rain (strange, mh?...anyhow)
Hutun might not be orginally arabic, that's true, I feel it sounds turkish and has the meaning near to turkish "Yagmur" which mains "rain"
I am not sure...I thought also that Amaya is rather far asian...but anyhow...maybe you can help me with my quest for female names meaning "rain" -
does anybody know what myrtle tree means in Arabic...can't finde it in any dictionary...
-
myrtle tree = حمبلاس , also الآس
-
according tm my dictionary it says that it's kind of plant and means
آس or مرسين
Aas --- Marseen
and for the names i could found you some and will continue searching for you
Raham:رهام continuous weak rain
Dema (Dima): ديمة rain last long time silently
Dojanah: دجانة abundant rain
there's also Jada: جدا abundant rain boon, but it's not commonLast edited by Oriee; 11-06-2008 at 12:48 PM.
