Actually, with due respect to @Bedroomeyes, I have a better translation.

As with most music and poetry, the meaning in the choice of words is nuanced. A literal translation can therefore be misleading to what the artist means to convey. Here I attempted to be as literal as possible so as to not sway the original meaning but also took the effort to mirror those nuances so you can get to the core meaning of the song... and this song is saying quite a bit.
