La tabki!
Look:
tu-singular, informal, used (almost) everywhere.
vos-singular, informal (I think), used in Argentina, Uruguay and some parts of Spain (according to the information given here by Mares and Xiurell).
usted-singular, formal. When it's written it can be abbreviated as 'ud.'
vosotros-plural, used mainly in Spain. When it's written it can be abbreviated as 'vos.' (but not when speaking!!)
ustedes-plural, used in Latin America. (when written it can be abbreviated as 'uds.')
The examples you asked about:
-ustedes saben
-vosotros sabéis
-vos sabes (I think, I'm not sure, I think that's what my argentinian friend says...)
mashi?

my spanish is all from "novelas" (actualy most of the girls in romania know spanish from the same reason jajaj)=)))) la ultima que vi hace meseees es patito feo (hecho en Argentina) y se usaba mucho vos (y si es informal). por ejemplo: vos sabes que.... , quero ir con vos, a vos no te gusta nada etc :d
Aqui, en el castellano antiguo se utilizaba el tú como 2º persona del singular y el vos como 2º persona del plural (también como cortesía o respeto, equivaldría al francés tu y vous o al catalán) pero con el paso del tiempo y la aparición del vosotros y el usted el vos se igualó al tú y con este significado paso a hispanoamérica.
!!!Cómo me enrollo!!!
Buen fin de semana![]()
This is the main difference between our spanish and the spanish from the rest of the countries in América Latina.
vos sabés (Tú sabes)
vos conocés a ... ? (Tú conoces a ... ? )
vos qué pensás al respecto? (Tú que piensas al respecto?)
querés un té ? (Quieres un té ?)
Aguantá un poco, estoy ocupada. (Aguanta un poco, estoy ocupada)
vos sos muy prolijo (Tú eres muy prolijo)
The only person and conjugation we changed here respect the other spanish, is the second person singular, we use "vos" and we always put the accent on the last syllable for this person
@Loca-Por-Ba!le: You did very well, you always used "vosotros", and a couple of times I saw, for example: "Vos. corristeis" (it's "Vosostros corristeis"). It's good and used in spanish from Spain. If you want to use "ustedes" it's also good, because we all in America Latina use "ustedes" instead of "vosotros". Just remember one thing: second person singular is "tú". (You always used "tú", I was watching your homework), you did always well... Other wise I would tell you sweety. So don't worry, because you did good. Just make sure to don't use "vos" as second person singular, it's no that common, use "tú". And for second person plural, you can choose between "vosotros" (from the original spanish) and "ustedes" (from America Latina's spanishs), as you like more

Y Vos sos .. jajaja.. Un muchacho argentino quiere aprender arabe y me dijo una vez , " Sos " So i asked him : " Sos ??
.. Quieres decir (eres) ?? Then he told me " Sorry .. yes " jajaja
Thx Mares
Is it "sos" or "sois"? I haven't heard "sos" but then I don't know everything. This forum is very humbling.
Loquita (my nickname for you... I hope you don't mind) .... you are doing very well with your Spanish. It would be cool to learn Arab; I'm trying to learn some indigenous languages (like Navajo); the culture is very high context, like the Arab culture, and the way of making implications in story telling (circular, rather than sequential) is also similar to Arab languages but the structure is more like Mandarin. Oy! My head hurts just thinking about it!

direct object pronoun
1º pers. sing. me
2º pers. sing. te
3º pers. sing. lo (masc.), la (fem.)
1º pers.plural nos
2º pers.plural os
3º pers.plural los (mas.) las(fem.)
with afirmative imperative go always after the verb
mírame Look at me
mirate look at you
míralo look at him or mírala look at her
miranos look at us
miraos look at you
miralos or miralas look at them (for masc and fem.)
here usted and ustedes are used for the 3rd pers. sing and plural
so it will be
mirese (for sing.)
mirense (for plural)
