Pop charts song... help me identify it please!

I can't even make out the lyrics right now. It almost sounds like Michael Bolton... I thought it was "Heart of Stone", but that doesn't sound right lyrics-wise. Then I thought that the words were "Hold on... hold on" for the chorus.... HELP ME! PLEEEEEASE! It's driving me MAD!
