Default Solved: I know the song, but not the group

The song is the early 60's "Where have you been all my life" written by Cynthia Weil & Barry Mann. I know Arthur Alexander, The Beatles & Gerry & The Pacemakers did this song, but I heard a version this morning on the radio that I really liked. The group "sounded" very British invasion era & played the song fast. I know this doesn't give much help, but I'm hoping someone can help me.

That's not it. This version is much faster & has that british invasion sound of the mid 60's.

The Guess Who had a song by that title, but I haven't been able to find it to listen to it.

Also Ted Nugent....rockin version....Doesn't even sound like the same song.

It's definitely not the Nuge. The Guess Who are a strong possibility, but I also didn't have any luck finding it anywhere to listen to & I'd like to be sure that's the one. I'm hoping someone can find me a site to listen to this version or name any other groups that did this song. It would be nice if radio stations would give some info when they play these rare songs.

I've found out that the Searchers released it on an album in 1964, "It's Fab! It's Gear! It's The Searchers!" and the track went under the title of "Where Have You Been". Go to Amazon link, Disc 2, track 5, press play button on left to hear it.

    Got youTube version for you

Also it was done in 1964 by Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders on an album of the same name. Name of the track being "Where Have You Been?"
Same here, Amazon, track 5. Have a listen

The Guess Who track was called "Till We Kissed! (opening phrase of the song).
Till We Kissed was the B-side of Shakin' All Over, the debut single by the Canadian band initially known as Chad Allan & The Expressions but later familiar as The Guess Who.

    There ya go... enjoy

You found it Dapps & I really appreciate it. It's the Chad Allan & the Expressions version. I was thinking they played it faster, but I was wrong. It does have that "English" sound to it that was so popular at the time. I really appreciate all the help I've been given by you & everyone else on this. I see Quite a few different versions of this song I've never heard before. Thanks for them all.

    Hi Dareck,

I was just funnin' with Dapps but nice of you to come back and say so.

This section of the website often lacks a sense of humor so I always try to inject some.

Glad to provide a piece of the answer.
