Can someone please translate this song:
Djogani - Gljiva ludara
Veliki pozdrav za kuminu sestru!
Kumo!
Idemo svi!
Hej, gladan ti, gladna ja
sendvica su samo dva
uz to jos i bajata
ali, ali, ali
U sumici raste hrast
pa smo se mi bas u slast
pecuraka najeli
sta nam fali, fali
Ref.
Al' kuda udara
ta gljiva ludara
mesec sunce otera
spasa nam nema
Drvo do drveta
dugme do dugmeta
krevet do kreveta
svadba nam se sprema
Ali, opa, opa, opa
bas je dobra ova klopa
mladost pusta, suma gusta
zdravlje ulazi na usta
'ajde, kume
'ajde, ajde, zete
neka case lete
Cudna pecurka
daj jos jedan tanjir
Providna vencanica kao spavacica
... ma nego cija
bice nama darova vise od svatova
ako ih je ne hvata milicija
Kuvari, vamo, cigani amo
pa svi u kolo da se navatamo
keva do keve, a kuma do kuma
nasom mladozenji, hop, puce guma
Ref.
Al' kuda udara
ta gljiva ludara
mesec sunce otera
spasa nam nema
Drvo do drveta
dugme do dugmeta
krevet do kreveta
svadba nam se sprema
Ruma, duma, plastika
naucna fantastika
metalna dimnastika
pobeze mi svastika
Uh, dance...
Ref.
Al' kuda udara
ta gljiva ludara
mesec sunce otera
spasa nam nema
Drvo do drveta
dugme do dugmeta
krevet do kreveta
svadba nam se sprema
Hej, kakva manija, megalomanija (4x)
Uh, dance...

Magic (psychedelic) mushroom
Veliki pozdrav za kuminu sestru!
A big greeting for godmother's sister
Kumo!
Godmother!
Idemo svi!
Let's go everybody!
Hej, gladan ti, gladna ja
Hey, u are hungry, I'm hungry
sendvica su samo dva
there are only two sandwiches
uz to jos i bajata
and with that sweet potato too
ali, ali, ali
but, but, but
U sumici raste hrast
In little wood an oak tree grows
pa smo se mi bas u slast
so, very delightful, we
pecuraka najeli
ate toadstools
sta nam fali, fali
what's missing to us, what's missing to us? (meaning: nothing misses to us - like rhetorical question)
Ref.
Al' kuda udara
But where it strikes
ta gljiva ludara
that magic mushroom
mesec sunce otera
the moon chased off the sun
spasa nam nema
there's no scape for us
Drvo do drveta
tree till tree
dugme do dugmeta
button till button
krevet do kreveta
bed till bed
svadba nam se sprema
wedding is near
Ali, opa, opa, opa
But, opa, opa opa (exclamation)
bas je dobra ova klopa
this food is really good
mladost pusta, suma gusta
wasteful youth, stiff wood
zdravlje ulazi na usta
health comes through mouth
'ajde, kume
C'mon godfather
'ajde, ajde, zete
C'mon c'mon son in law
neka case lete
let glasses fly around
Cudna pecurka
weird toadstool
daj jos jedan tanjir
give me one plate more
Providna vencanica kao spavacica
transparent wedding dress like night dress
... ma nego cija
... whose? (again rhetorical question)
bice nama darova vise od svatova
we'll have more presents than guests on wedding
ako ih je ne hvata milicija
if police don't bust them
Kuvari, vamo, cigani amo
Cooks, here, gypsies there
pa svi u kolo da se navatamo
let's all go in dance circle that we can catch
keva do keve, a kuma do kuma
"destroyer" next to "destroyer", and godmother next to godfather (keva can mean man that destroyes, can mean "the man", dude, more things, I think this one is suitable here)
nasom mladozenji, hop, puce guma
to our groom, hop, the tire broke
Ref.
Al' kuda udara
But where it strikes
ta gljiva ludara
that magic mushroom
mesec sunce otera
the moon chased off the sun
spasa nam nema
there's no scape for us
Drvo do drveta
tree till tree
dugme do dugmeta
button till button
krevet do kreveta
bed till bed
svadba nam se sprema
wedding is near
Ruma, duma, plastika
rum, dum, plastic (dum is just because of rhyme, like rum hits, or dum just like a sound produced when something falls down)
naucna fantastika
sf (scientific fantasy / fiction)
metalna dimnastika
mental gymnastic
pobeze mi svastika
run away swastika
Uh, dance...
Ref.
Al' kuda udara
But where it strikes
ta gljiva ludara
that magic mushroom
mesec sunce otera
the moon chased off the sun
spasa nam nema
there's no scape for us
Drvo do drveta
tree till tree
dugme do dugmeta
button till button
krevet do kreveta
bed till bed
svadba nam se sprema
wedding is near
Hej, kakva manija, megalomanija (4x)
hey, what mania, megamania
Uh, dance...[/QUOTE]We are what we repeatedly do; excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. (Aristotle) -

I would translate a few thing different!
Like:
Drvo do drveta - tree to tree
dugme do dugmeta - button to button
krevet do kreveta - bed to bed
keva do keve, a kuma do kuma
mother to mother & godfather to godfather
cuz "Keva" means Mother like for example:
Moju Kevu je Austrijanka - My Mom is Austrian
CAOO greetings from Vienna!! -
that does make more sense
is this classified as a wedding song?
is there any meaning to the drvo do drveta, dugme do dugmeta, krevet do kreveta to a svadba? -
__________________________________________________ _____________________
not that i know.....but i actually grew up in vienna and still live in vienna and maybe drvo, dugme and krevet have something to do with weddings but i dont thinks so..........
djogani have many songs with totaly weired lyrics...so don´t take them so serious! haha
how come you listen to yugoslavian music? from where are you? -

- "to" and "till" are the same prepositional phrase
"keva" doesn't mean mother in slang, very rarely that term is used to describe mother and usually is in context I wrote, and is "destroyer" in this case while the song is telling how much they got drank and is in context with the police...
"Moju Kevu je Austrijanka - My Mom is Austrian" - and this is not correct cause in croatian and serbian
and kuma do kuma - means godmother next to godfather because first is female and second maleWe are what we repeatedly do; excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. (Aristotle)
