I borrowed the pimslers romanian from the ny library about 18 months ago. I wasn't too crazy about it. it taught formal romania. "va rog", etc. It's good to know but I want to learn the language. I suppose it's good for a crash course on the plane ride there.

Oh, I don't think there are many, if any, Romanian books at any of the local libraries where I am. But this RAR file comes with audio, the Cojocaru Grammar file, a dictionary, and a PowerPoint and written guide to the audio. It's extensive.

It is formal Romanian, you are right.

I'm sorry. I forgot to mention that it was the audios. It came with a little book that covered the vocabulary from each of the chapters. It was CD's that I borrowed.

hmm, you've made me curious. I think I'll download.

I do have to warn you...I'm sure you could tell. The first audio I went through...It's one of the most efficient ways to get bored--I don't know your learning pace, but it's a bit...slow...for me, anyways! I think the 1000+ page dictionary alone is worth it, though! And the Pimsleur file is the transcript for the audio. But that's where that seelrc link is coming from, the Cojocaru Grammar.

oh Stand Alone Romanian? Yes, that is a very well written document. We use it during my Romanian Lessons quite frequently.

Is this course still available on this site? when I click link it takes me to a page but has a russian link and other links such as login, sign up , upload, turbo acdess etc . If I click to the russian link, it takes me to a search page in russian. So not sure if its not availbable anymore. Appreciate any help.
