they use a 24hr clock. Most young ppl would understand (and probably all ppl, not sure though) an am/pm time.

la ora paisprezece sau la ora paişpe (the latter is more informal)

Thanks Mike, i was right about the first one then, wasn't sure where the 'mic' would come in the second, no clue about the bridge one and the time thing had me really confused.

well I used one of them already, but it's ok cos my romanian friend is super polite and always says my romanian is perfect even when its horrendously wrong lol

And I've used a mix of 12h and 24h, though usually 24h. I think both are understandable in most of mainland Europe, though the 12h clock marks you as a foreigner in certain countries

So:

we will meet you at the bridge - Te vom intalni la pod
This is the correct way of translating this sentence.

However, in speaking, we would say:
Ne intalnim (ne vedem) la pod.

As for the time: yes, we use the 24h clock. But this is for official contexts and formal language. In speaking we use the 12h clock but not followed by AM/PM.We use the word for the respective moment of the day.

We don't say:
The movie is at 8 PM.

We say:
Filmul este la 8 seara.

The same with dimineata, la pranz, dupa-amiaza, noaptea.
We clarify the AM/PM thing by pointing at the moment of the day. Sometimes this is not necessary because we understand it from the context:

During the week I wake up at 7 AM.
In timpul saptamanii ma trezesc la 7. (Obviously we're talking about the morning, so no need to mention it)

1. is there something like verb to be in Romanian?
(eg: i am a doctor. i was a doctor. i will be a doctor.)
2. how are the degrees of comparison formed?
