My 2 verses to Airplanes Part 1 by B.O.B n Hailey. About my tough times now n my abusive father.
some parts i speed up the flow, so this explains areas where it looks like the line doesnt fit. I do this a lot at parts of the second verse but also at the end of the 1st.
just to explain to anyone who needs it- 'Rooney' is Andy Rooney, who (imo) talks ****, n 'Ude' is Ude Hussein, who had Saddam as his father (comparison to my father, not too much of an exaggeration).
and 'Hough' is my first name.
HOOK
Yeah I could use a wish right now,
Matter ‘fact I could use a tissue right now,
Cos right now I just seem to be going in cycles,
Running in circles, walking in spite of
The fact I seem to be losing my vitals
Signs- I’m in tact but I feel in light of
The way I act that I’m stuck on spikes or
Stuck on troughs, Hough’s acting nice or,
No he’s not, what’s that guy’s vice n
He should get a grip, he’s ego tripped six times n
He’s insane cos his brain’s just popped like ricycles
Interpersonally, know I’m colder than icicles
You’re here to serve me, till you fold up like bicycles
But ‘neath the surface he, only wants to be like you,
You know it irks me, you score goals with no tryin to,
Urgent emergency, catch me where my soul’s flyin to
HOOK
Take me back like Lupe, looking for some new friends
Talking crap like Rooney, looking for some footprints,
To follow in, wallowin, my hot air made a soufflé
But swallowin the sadness and welcoming the new day,
Who’d say, truly, that they really knew me?
No I wasn’t moody, I was just Ude
You’d say you had it hard, you hard, you hardly seen you birthday
I’m an old man and man I started in the worst place
My old man- unmanageable and a double disgrace
But he could always make a failure look like first place
And he could always play a saviour yet still play a basket-case,
With fake pain on his face he’d tell me bout his ‘master race’
Too much **** to go into, but **** the **** I’ve been through,
It’s where I’m going to, I’ll cut my short time in two,
Tell the past adieu, hell, sell my future debut,
Sound my new tune as I yell down to the ground crew
