Exclamation Solved: Need help identifying a song

Here is a tough one. I was going through a bunch of reels that my Aunt had taped from the radio when she was a kid and I came across a song that I just had to find the entire version. She lived in New York and the song was about Brooklyn. For all I know it could be just one of those local songs. There is only 52 seconds of audio and its kind of hard to make out the lyrics. I tried Googling what lyrics I could make out with no success. I tried asking my Aunt but she does not remember. I've first heard this when I was 12 years old and have been obsessed about finding it ever since. I uploaded the audio clip to my web server in WAV format. The filesize is about 8MB. Any help on figuring out this song would make me sooooo happy that I would jump up and down on my computer desk and buy everyone a beer! The address to the file is: NULL

Some of the lyrics I could make out are:

"I said I'd come back someday. I knew my heart belonged to Brooklyn. Now I wanna get back 'cause shes my [can't make out this part]. Shine a light, gonna get back to Brooklyn. My, my, Brooklyn."

That's about all I can make out. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

What era would this be from? Sounds like it's from the 50s or earlier.

It sounds like it could be late 50s early 60s. I know the reel was taped in the late 60s.

I updated the link in my first post. I thought about this song again today and I found people on other forums talking about it. Apparently its called Brooklyn USA. After some digging I believe it is by "Wizz." Can anyone confirm this??

I can't find an audio sample for the song but I did find several mentions of it online:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of..._New_York_City Wikipedia mentions "Brooklyn" (a.k.a. "Brooklyn USA") by Wizz
http://www.musicstack.com/item.cgi?item=2956894 "Brooklyn/Hold Out for Love" is available to buy for $5 (as a 45 rpm record)
http://www.peterice.com/filmscores.htm "Brooklyn/Ain't It Crazy" was performed by Whizz (sic) in the 1974 movie "Road Movie"
http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Road_Mo...0&trkid=222336 "Road Movie" is available at Netflix to rent

Just went on GEMM and ordered a 45 with Brooklyn by Wizz so when it arrives we will see if it is the right song. Hope it is, this has been in my mind since I was a kid haha
