I just wrote this really quick, that's why it's written how it's written, with no rhyme or anything. Not all songs have to rhyme, right? I don't even have a title for it, not yet at least. The first verse just popped into my head while I was messing around with my guitar, and also i don't think the chorus is any good![]()
how come we are exactly where we started?
i thought we’ve gotten really far
i guess you were running in circles, and i was chasing after you
it’s not my fault, i didn’t know the road
and i still don’t know where it leads, you shouldn’t have
-Chorus-
told me there’s a shining light at the end of the tunnel
when you knew the tunnel doesn’t even have an end
i was afraid i could lose you in the dark i’ve seen there
cause you weren’t patient enough to wait, you were always ahead
now looking back on it i know what fear can do
i say i want to change but you don’t believe me
i don’t blame you, neither do i
i guess i was trying to fool everyone, especially myself
it’s hard to change in a blink of an eye
cause i don’t know how to begin, i shouldn’t have
-Chorus-
believed there’s no shining light at the end of the tunnel
when i was aware that you would’ve been there for me
i was afraid i could lose you in the dark i’ve seen there
cause you weren’t patient enough to wait, you were always ahead
now looking back on it i know what fear can do
-Bridge-
just leave it behind, it’s easy for you to say
cause you don’t have to do it
if you want me to fall, at least be there to catch me
cause we both know that last time around you
-Chorus-
told me there’s a shining light at the end of the tunnel
when you knew the tunnel doesn’t even have an end
i was afraid i could lose you in the dark i’ve seen there
cause you weren’t patient enough to wait, you were always ahead
now looking back on it remember when you
…..
told me there’s a shining light at the end of the tunnel
when you knew the tunnel doesn’t even have an end
i was afraid i could lose you in the dark i’ve seen there
cause you weren’t patient enough to wait, you were always ahead
now looking back on it i know what fear can do
