Looking for thw lyrics of this very beautiful song "Quando arivera".
Tony Pinelli sings that song in italian, in the greek movie "Moderna Staxtopouta" (Μοντέρνα Σταχτοπούτα).
The composer is greek! Stavros Ksarhacos (Σταύρος Ξαρχάκος).
If anyone has or know the lyrics, let me know.
Thanks
Kostas
Ps. Sorry I just saw that I am in wrong category. I will post at the right one.

Tony Pinelli - Quando arivera
-
Quando arriverà
Il giorno che sai
Con cuor tremante farò
Questo giorno in cui, finalmente avrò
Realizzato i sogni miei
Quando arriverà
Il giorno che sai
…* fior d’arancio andrò
Ed arriverai
Più bella che mai
E dolcemente ti prenderò
Da oggi in poi
Sarai sempre con me
E i sogni tuoi dividerai con me
E il mio pensier
Sarà solo per te
Comincerà una vita per noi
(Greek….)
(Spoken):
…fior d’arancio andrò
Ed arriverai
Più bella che mai
E dolcemente ti prenderò
Quando arriverà
Il giorno che sai
…fior d’arancio andrò
Ed arriverai
Più bella che mai
E dolcemente ti prenderò
Quando arriverà
Quando arriverà

*I'm not sure about the word before "fior d'arancio"sorry...

Thank you citlalli.
Is there anyway to find out the word before "fior d' arancio"?
If not, which are the most probable words that may fit by your opinion?
Since I don't know Italian, I tried to listen the song and I think that he says
something like "koui" fior d' arancio andro
Does it make sense to you?
By the way, the greek words that Tony sings, are:
Ένα φιλί, να μπορούσα να σου' δινα
και να σου πω, σ' αγαπώ, σ' αγαπώ
Ένα φιλί, σε δυό χείλια βελούδινα
που από καιρό σαν τρελλός λαχταρώLast edited by kosdion; 07-27-2009 at 01:40 AM.

Hi Kostas!
I googled the lyrics but couldn't find anything at all
I also hear something like "cui" which means "whose". The problem is that it doesn't fit or make sense: "cui fior d'arancio andrò"=whose orange flower I will goI haven't figured out any other possible words yet, but if I manage to come up with something sensible I'll post it here.
Oh, and thanks for the greek part, although I can't even read itBtw, do you need the translation in english?

Hello citlalli,
Thanks for your effort, I 'll wait if you find something.
You see is a very nice song and even though it's very popular in google, no one had the lyrics ! until yesterday. I was searching for 9 months ! !
I don't know why you can't even read the greek part, (you can't see the fonts or you don't know greek?)
Anyway, because the greek part also has beautiful lyrics, I will translate it to english and between the ( ) I'll write the greeks with latin characters:
One kiss, if I could give to you (Ena fili, na borousa na sou 'dina)
and tell you, I love you, I love you (kai na sou po, s'agapo, s'agapo)
One kiss, on two velvet lips (Ena fili, se dio heilia veloudina)
that I wish for like crazy, for a long time (pou apo kairo san trelos lahtaro)
I hope that is understandable , my english are not so good.
Thanks
Kostas
PS. Yes, I would like the english translation. -
Hi!
That was very kind from youthanks for translating it! I have to work now, but I hope to come back later to translate the italian for you
I can see the greek fonts, but I don't know any greek

Il giorno che sai
When the day you know
will come
Con cuor tremante farò
My heart will tremble
Questo giorno in cui, finalmente avrò
This day, when I will finally have
Realizzato i sogni miei
achieved my dreams

You'll always be with me
E i sogni tuoi dividerai con me
And you'll share your dreams with me

Hello!
I have searched among the comments on youtube and somebody translated it - and the missing part would be: i will offer to you [i will offer to you an orange-tree-flower]
P.S Search on the second page the user kostgian! -
Ahaaaaa... thanks Laylacim!!

Thanks again citlalli & Layla.
But I will prefer the citlalli translation.
The one on youtube is not completed.
By the way, I found the missing word:
Co i fior' = con i fiori= with flowers
So the exact phrase is
Co i fior d'arancio andrò
I will also give you the transaltion in english from the words that you hear from the actors(when the young one tries to take Aliki Vouyouklaki from the old man Aris Maliagros). It's after the lyric "<i>una vita per noi"
- Come! (Ela!)
- What? (Ti; )
- Change of guard! (Allagi frouras!)
- Why? (Giati; )
E, at your age, it's not propriate to dance so much hour (e stin ilikia sou den
kanei na horeveis tosin ora)
Leave us "alone" my child, i don't dance, I fly! (Ase me paidi mou, Ego den horevo , petao!)
Come on, don't want to fall your kidney and we search to find it with the candles!
(Vre elami sou pesei kanena nefro kai psahnoume ystera me ta keria na to vroume!)
Aliki laughs and the young actor take her to dance. -
Fior d'arancio
Thank you all for italian and greek lyrics and actors' dialog!
As for some words that seems strange:
"Quando arriverà
Il giorno che sai
Coi fior d’arancio andrò"
In italian "fior d'arancio" means "wedding", and "sai" (sapere) here may be "smell".
So, it's difficult to translate correctly... Something like this:
"When will it come?
The day with
Wedding flowers smell" -
"Quando arriverà
Il giorno che sai
Coi fior d’arancio andrò"
It's something like: "when the day you know will arrive (the wedding day)
I'll get married or I'll marry you" (it's a rough translation, the orange flowers thing is a little more poetic)
"Sai" means simply "to know" in this case."-Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity..."
"-Actually, I'm planning to threaten you."
"Well, if you'll excuse me, I have work to do. Evil plots don't just make themselves, you know!" -
Thanks Ligeia and Conejito.
