Help with 90's song!!!

Hey everyone. First time poster

I have been struggling to find a song and thought i'd come to this forum for some help.

Ok here are the details I know of the song:
- From the mid to late 90's
- Sung by an African American man I believe
- Genre probably r&b
- Kinda sound depressing
- I think the words ''follow me'' are in the chorus followed by something like ''we've only got...(something something something)'' :P

Yeah I really don't have a clue at the moment and would appreciate any help

Any idea what the song is talking about? Was it like a hit song or does the voice sound like a well known artist or something like a one hit wonder? Whatever you can add would help...maybe you should do a audio video humming the song on youtube then post the link and maybe that would help because right now I have no clue lol

I don't believe it was by a well known singer.
I'm pretty sure it was decently popular but not a huge hit.
And I think the song was talking about people sticking together and following each other through tough times...
I'm unable to do an audio video but if I can supply anymore information i'll make sure I get it up on here

You could just drop all that audio video idea and record yourself on mp3 instead; then upload the mp3 somewhere.
Why do things the complicated way if there's much easier ways?

Not quite what I was looking for but that is getting very close. The song i'm after isn't quite as upbeat in tune but the lryics are pretty similar. Thankyou for the help
