I to nešto govori o nama".

Ja jesam, i držim da su jako teški, "ruska škola".Last edited by ina; 06-18-2011 at 05:49 AM.

-
@Milane
ljubopitljiv - prying, inquisitive
ljubopitljivo radi = pažljivo, detaljno radi (često i u iritirajućem kontekstu donekle)
ljubopitljiv pogled - kad nekog pažljivo odmeravaš
Redoznao znaš šta je.Last edited by ina; 06-18-2011 at 05:48 AM.

What mean ма and па ??
-
-
I mean in generally, could you give me some examples?
-
Ma naravno.I was looking for a song that would give you good examples of each, but I came across this, that might start to help you. It shows how the meaning can vary:
pa (Cyrillic spelling па)
(and) then (= ȍndā)
prvo ću skočiti ja, pa ti — I'll jump first, (and) then you
učenje pa odmor pa zabava — learning, then rest, then fun
(and) so
potrošio sam sav novac, pa sam se morao vratiti kući — I've spent all of my money, so I had to return home
(with da or màkar) even if, even though, although
(with ȉpāk) (and, but) yet, still
bogat je, pa ipak usamljen — he's rich, but still lonely
(with da + i) even if
(for emphasis) but, well
pa dobro! — well, all right!
pa što je s tobom? — what's wrong with you?
pa i ne baš — not really
pa što onda? — so what?
Ma is similarly with different meanings. İ'll try to give you more examples later...non mi avrete mai come volete voi
mirno spavaj sestro. -
hvala puno, razumeo sam sve

Hello to everyone!
and Bok to all croatians on board!
I have one very short question for you? What does 'mora' mean. I came back from Hrvatska 5 days ago and people there use it probably in every 3rd sentence.
Btw I understand your writings in here. Razumem malo
I got so inspired by croatian language so I'd like to learn it. Anyone who would like to help can add me on skype - rette.mich
Hvala vam! -
Well.. it is possible that you came from the sea - došao si sa mora (sea=more)
However, it is also possible that 'it must have been great being there' - mora da je bilo dobro tamo (must=morati) or that they were saying something like "she has to work" (ona mora da radi)
or that it was a nightmare (noćna mora)
So.. it all depends on the context
mora I
1. nightmare
mora II see morati
morati A1 (imp.) to have to, must, be obliged to; moram da mu napišem pismo I have to write him a letter; mora (biti) nije učio; obviously, he did not study; (impers.) moralo je tako biti; it had to be that way; mora u Zagreb; he has to go to Zagreb; morao je da ide; he had to go; mora (biti) da je on to vidio; he must have seen it; neko ih je morao vidjeti; smb. must have seen them -
If they used it that often, then it must be one of the cases of the word "more" ("the sea", as Spring already said)
-
mora da.. this was it what i was hearing the most. i asked one of my friends and she said that it means something like have to/must or "trebe" but when i looked up in the dictionary i found the translations for nightmare and sea, but nothing like 'must'. That's why I asked here.
I just love this language. I understand the written forms but i can't understand when someone speaks. Just badly need practice.
Thank you very much for the help! -

I'm from Romania and I really like how Serbian language sounds. I wish I could find more "learn to speak serbian" type of videos on youtube.
