أخبرنا أستاذي يوما عن شيء يدعى الحرية
فسألت الأستاذ بلطف أن يتكلم بالعربية
ما الحرية
هل هي مصطلح يوناني عن بعض الحقب الزمنية
أم أشياء نستوردها أو مصنوعات وطنية
فأجاب معلمنا حزنا وانساب الدمع بعفوية
قد أنسوكم كل التاريخ وكل القيم العلوية
أسفي أن تخرج أجيال لا تفهم معنى الحرية
لا تملك سيفا أو قلما لا تحمل فكرا وهوية
وعلمت بموت مدرسنا في الزنزانات الفردية
ونذرت لئن أحياني الله وكانت بالعمر بقية
لأجوب الأرض بأكملها بحثا عن معنى الحرية

ووقفت بمحراب التاريخ لأسأله ما الحرية
فأجاب بصوت مهدود يشكو أشكال الهمجية
إن الحرية أن تحيا عبدا لله بكلية
وفق القرآن ووفق الشرع ووفق السنن النبوية
لا حسب قوانين طغاة أو تشريعات أرضية
وضعت كي تحمي ظلاما وتعيد القيم الوثنية

الحرية لا تستجدي من سوق النقد الدولية
والحرية لا تمنحها هيئات البر الخيرية
الحرية نبت ينمو بدماء حارة وزكية
يعلو بشباب وبنات ورجال عشقوا الحرية

لن يرفع فرعون رأسا إن كانت بالشعب بقية

فسألت الأستاذ بلطف أن يتكلم بالعربية
so i asked the teacher nicely to speak arabic
ما الحرية
what is liberty?
هل هي مصطلح يوناني عن بعض الحقب الزمنية
is it a greek term about some eras?
أم أشياء نستوردها أو مصنوعات وطنية
is things we import,or a nationally-made products
فأجاب معلمنا حزنا وانساب الدمع بعفوية
so the teacher answered sadly,and the tears flowed spontaneously
قد أنسوكم كل التاريخ وكل القيم العلوية
they may have made you forgot all the history and all the superior values
أسفي أن تخرج أجيال لا تفهم معنى الحرية
all i'm sorry for is that generations grow up without knowing the sense of liberty
لا تملك سيفا أو قلما لا تحمل فكرا وهوية
it doesn't have a sword or a pen,it doesn't carry thoughts or a identity
وعلمت بموت مدرسنا في الزنزانات الفردية
and i leared that our teachers died in the individual cells
ونذرت لئن أحياني الله وكانت بالعمر بقية
and i made an oath that if Allah kept me alive,and there some years left in my heart
لأجوب الأرض بأكملها بحثا عن معنى الحرية
that i'll travel around the world looking for the sense of liberty
ووقفت بمحراب التاريخ لأسأله ما الحرية
and i stood in the history's niche to ask him what liberty is
فأجاب بصوت مهدود يشكو أشكال الهمجية
so it answer with a beaten voice,complaing from all forms of barbarism
إن الحرية أن تحيا عبدا لله بكلية
the liberty is to live entirely as the slave of Allah
وفق القرآن ووفق الشرع ووفق السنن النبوية
according to the Quran and to the laws and the principals of the prophet
لا حسب قوانين طغاة أو تشريعات أرضية
not according to the laws of the tyrants,and some legislations
وضعت كي تحمي ظلاما وتعيد القيم الوثنية
that are put to protect the injustice and to restore the values of the paganism

الحرية لا تستجدي من سوق النقد الدولية
the liberty doens't beg the International Monetary Market
والحرية لا تمنحها هيئات البر الخيرية
and the liberty is not given by the great foundations
الحرية نبت ينمو بدماء حارة وزكية
the liberty is a plant that grows with hot and pure blood
يعلو بشباب وبنات ورجال عشقوا الحرية
that rises with the boys and girls that admired liberty

لن يرفع فرعون رأسا إن كانت بالشعب بقية
faraon will never lift his head,if there is still people in the country
