I also like Idan a lot, especially the care he takes to write meaningful lyrics that speak to a lot of people.

As for going back to work, my children started school today, so I can understand your feelings about the summer vacation coming to an end!

Do you know the story behind this song?
The lyrics are comprised from several qoutes taken from letters a soldier named Moshe Ohayon (R.I.P)wrote to his girlfriend and his family.
Moshe was killed in combat and his family gave Idan his letters and asked him to write a song.....
They couldn't have entrusted it in any worthier hands than Idan's ....being a soldier and a commander himself he knows better than any Israeli singer what it's like to be out there...in the killing fields ....he lost so many of his soldiers...
In our unfortunate military culture, for a commander, losing soldiers is like losing your children
he's also a highly respeced and most admired commander
There is something about Idan that's simply not spoiled and pure ....
His personality is just beyond words....so sweet and gentle and real !!!!!
He reminds me of Yiannis ....the same sweet kindness and kind sweetness....
and as with Yiannis I find myself short of adjectives when trying to describe him properly !!!!
    Do you have the translation?
I think I translated it somewhere.....
I can't get enough of him...and can't wait for his first album ..NEXT MONTH
I'm going to buy 3 and send 2 of them to friends abroad .
Sorry for gushing like a school girl...this is the affect he has on women ....I listen to him and I become all ovaries

You should post this "OH BOAZ" on his Youtube channel and maybe his managers will pass it on to him...
It's not everyday that an Israeli singer has fans abroad....
I wish there were more Israeli fans going "OH BOAZ" ...

Thank You for bringing me home and making me listen to Israeli music.
I have long forgotten the great voices we have ....

What I DO NOT APPRECIATE in Israeli singers is their broad daylight theft ...like Dudu Aharon from Mixalis ...check these two songs ..the intro is the same....(oo:14)

Now the "composers" Dudu Aharon and Moshe Perez (00:12)

For, Batelli, Patt and Rose - Thank you for the music, girls!

This song below is very special to me, I've known it for 20 years now; it's so beautiful and deserves to be placed here. Rita Yahan-Farouz (born in Tehran).

Slightly older than the rest of the Artists here but no less talented.

Here's a very Mediterranean song by Danny Robas<3

    Shabbat Shalom everyone!!!

    PS.
A smallish request if I may: I'd be grateful if some kind Israeli Soul could do me a favour by telling me how the MEditerranean Sea is called in Hebrew (please, provide it also in transliteration)- BIGGGGG TODAH!

[B]Dear Rose, Thank you so very much for this precious collection of Rita's songs and your wishes- same to you, Flower Girl!

What can I say more when you've already said it all ? - Indeed, Rita is Rita, the one and only, just like the unforgettable Ofra Haza (R.I.P) before her.

one more thing:Hayam Hatichon translates into Mediterranean Sea or something different????

Shalom va ahava to all of us!

To sum up today's output we have the following quotes:
    1.Rita is Rita.
    2.Mixalis is Mixalis.
3.People exclaiming "Oh Boaz!" in appreciation of this musician's talents, should proceed immediately to post #309, in which Lady Bateli (Boeing) 777 provided further instructions on what they should also do - good luck!
To the above I should like to add the following statement in praise of one of the Kind Souls here:
    4.Rose is Rose!
