    Hi everyone,

It's been a while....Here are two great videos with Yaniv Ben Mashiach. Muzika shel neshama!:

I forgot to say that both these Hebrew-language religious songs have secular melodies-the first is an Arabic tune "Wallah mara" and the other is a Turkish melody. I believe this tradition of using secular melodies for religious texts is called "contrafactum":

    Hi Pimos,

I can understand why you are wondering!

I am from Sweden, but I lived for quite a few years in Greece...so that's how I know Greek. "Ivrit" is just a hobby for me, I love Israeli Mizrahi music, but I am not fluent in Hebrew in any way.

    Best, Eva

Don't you have a feeling that he gets more beautiful when he sings? As if there was a new dimension added to him? He's filled with inner light that shines through his eyes and shows in his heart-breaking smile. When he's on stage he's the right man in the right place.
