We also have żar (pronounced as jar exactly!), and the meaning is exactly the same.

But then in Russian we have this ballet titled "Жар-птица" and this is usually translated as "The Fire Bird" or "L'Oiseau de feu"

Anyways, there's no jar or žar or żar without foc/incendiu or ватра or pożar/ogień, right?
