Back In The Day
1v.
I know that most things don't last forever
I know that most things aren't built to last
I know that you can't relive your yesturday's
And I know you can't go sleeping with the past
1st chorus
But I found some old photographs with youth on our skin
I was standing right next to you wearing a younger mans grin
Just for a moment, I let it take me away
Remembering our time in the sun, back in the day
2v.
It was the summer of 86' when sixteen was a state of mind
when our world stretched out forever, only a July for us to find
The spark in your eyes I thought could light up the sky
When loving you was easy and your spirit could make me high
2nd Chorus 1x
1/2 Solo
3v.
I remember the summer sun, your hair would curl from the heat
Time has washed away the bitter and left me the sweet
Now only the echo's remain, those day's of the yellow sun
When life tipped it's hat to me and for you I was the only one
3rd Chorus 1x
1/2 Solo
4v.
I can turn myself away now, now only today remains
Just a momentary trip I guess down amnesia lane
So goodbye yesturday, I can't give you no more time
I got more music to make, some more mountains to climb
4th Chorus 2x then out.

The first two lines showed when I hovered my cursor over your song title on the Forum page--those lines are what brought me to read it.
I really like this song. It is real. It is believable. It's well done. I could hear it on the radio and even buy it, depending on the music/delivery. As for the lyrics, they're great.
