Hi, I'm looking for a soul/funk song from the 70's with only the lines: "Get down get down get down". It was a minor hit in the Netherlands. It has nothing to do with Kool & the Gang or KC & the Sunshine band. Does anybody know it. :-)

Gene Chandler - Get Down?
or even closer:
Raydio - Get Down -
Nope, those aren't the ones, but thanks :-)

Can you do a little sound recording of you singing it? It may be easier to work out then. At the moment, I'm hearing it with the backing singers singing it. Or even a synthesized male voice.

Also have you done a search for Top 40 Dutch songs 1970's?

Another shot: Brass Construction - Get up and get down

Robby, why don't you response to my last guess. Do you have overlooked it?

Hi, Wurzlsepp thanks for your answer. It's not Brass Construction, but thanks. :-)
I've worked for more than a week on the "Like the wind" song and checked more than 15000 titles. I made a list. I don't think the answer is in that list but you never know. If not better luck next time. Hope we'll find it soon. :-) -

It isn't that one either, but thanks :-) The song I'm looking for was a minor hit in the Netherlands. It only contains the text: "Get down get down get down." But the title isn't "Get down", I'm sure of that. The song was part of a show called 35 op een rij show, 30 years ago (The Hague, Netherlands). A show with minor Dutch hits and bubbling under hits, and people had to guess what song they were playing. :-)

Maybe too obvious? Kool and the Gang - Jungle Boogie:
