    Default Documentation for IBM Devices

I recently found my old IBM ThinkPad while cleaning the attic, and surprisingly it still powers on. The issue is I can’t figure out how to configure some of the functions because the manual is long gone. I checked a few random sites, but most either don’t have what I need or want me to pay for it. Does anyone know a reliable place to quickly download documentation for older IBM devices without wasting too much time?

We couldn’t find the original paperwork anywhere, and searching randomly online was a pain. What finally helped was checking https://manuals.online/ibm — they’ve got a section with IBM manuals, including older models that are tough to track down otherwise. I just grabbed the PDF and it was straightforward to follow. It definitely beats flipping through sketchy sites that don’t deliver what they promise.

A few months ago I tossed out a big pile of user guides that had been sitting in a box since the 90s. Half of them belonged to devices nobody even uses anymore, like VCRs and old CRT monitors. At first I hesitated, thinking I might need them, but then I realized almost everything can be accessed online these days. It feels lighter not keeping unnecessary paper clutter around the house.
