(It's amazing how a good old-fashioned migraine or two can make the creative juices rage.)
I wake up from a daydream,
A moment's revery,
And think I must be dreaming still,
The beauty that I see;
No artificial coloring,
No fancy-dancy 'do,
Just loveliness unfettered,
The radiance of you.
It's born beneath the surface
Where your natural beauty sleeps,
And no amount of makeup
Can improve what nature keeps.
The sun sets on your cheeks
And it rises in your eyes;
I wonder what I've ever done
To warrant such a prize.
Perfection is the only word
That captures what I see,
But even that says not enough
Of what you do to me...
I swim inside an ocean
Of incredibilitude,
Waking to the living dream
Of a moment next to you.

I'm sorry Doug if i may have came across wrong right after your post, i was in a very bad mood bcs of someone on this site that doesn't know or care how to be careful or considerate in what he says, and i think that if Moon had been within reach of that guy, after i said something and then that guy responded, well i'm sure you can guess where that was going
but then Moon was a wonder of self-composure, for my sake and our sake so that we could step away from it and enjoy a quiet and very pleasant weekend together
My dearest John when it comes to taking care of a woman's heart you could give lessons to almost any man....you always find the sweetest ways at just the right time to amaze me all over again, especially being so open and so expressive in your feelings, and i know full well that i'm the luckiest woman in the world
I love you baby <33Music is what feelings sound like

Moon, I am jealous in several ways. I want a love song like this to be written by my guy for me (will never happen). I want to be as beautiful as Tess. I want the sun to set on my cheeks and rise in my eyes.
To me this is not corny at all. It is very romantic. I take it very seriously. And I find it beautiful. -
Thank you!!! One and all
Frankie, honestly, I woulda never gotten any good at writing poetry (etc) if it hadn't been for all the practice I got from writing dark angry stuff way-back-when. 2-3 years ago I couldn't write jack, coz I don't have natural talent like you have (evidenced by all the great stuff you wrote when you were young), or Tess (who just recently discovered herself), or Doug, Jim, RobberBaron, Katie, and many others I could name. For me it only came with practice, practice, practice and hard work over a long period. What I'm saying is that maybe-just-maybe your guy could write some good stuff too, if he ever chose to start tryingThere is no glamour in sudden death, and nobody ever wins a war.

Thank you, Moon. My husband's poetry to me is being here, being loyal, being helpful and hard-working, caring for me when I'm not well. Making me laugh. Taking me out when I really don't feel like it, yet I am grateful later. Thank you so much for your words. I have decided, my husband IS a living poem, inscribed on the inward-sides of my heart . . . and he's much more. I'd not trade that for anything in this world . . .
And I know YOU KNOW what I mean. -
Yep.
See the comment I just left on your poems-prose pageThere is no glamour in sudden death, and nobody ever wins a war.

Moon!
There are some common- yet private- feelings wrapped up in beautiful lines
My favourites:
"just loveliness unfettered, the radiance of you"
"...beneath the surface where your natural beauty sleeps"
"the sun sets on your cheeks and it rises in your eyes"
WOW,MoonGreat job!

Certainly your best. It reminds me of...
Hold me not hard
with the softness of soulwind,
caress me gently with feathers of joy;
hold me and handle
with love sweet and gentle,
deep and free from wayward woe. -
Thanks man. Sorry it took me so long to see this, but I was taking a few days of "sabbatical" from the Internet
for multiple reasons, and most of them good ones I hope.
What is that quoted from?
with the softness of soulwind,
caress me gently with feathers of joy
Yeah.There is no glamour in sudden death, and nobody ever wins a war.

Ah. I found your old blog earlier in a search, but didn't realize it was you and I wasn't sure if it was a quote from somewhere else. Çok mersi
