Ironically this is not one of my demented Westerns.I use the term "Hired Gun"in the way a guy brings a girl with him
to a bar to play interference for him. That being said,it's got nothing to do with picking up girls or using a "hired gun".
When I went to post this,I was going to change the name.I couldn't think of anything,so here it is,Hired Gun
Admired for her beauty
Never her mind
Didn't really matter
She was one-of-a-kind
There's no doubt
She was "easy-on-the-eyes"
Knew how to sway men
With beautiful lies
Had been "eye-candy"
All of her life
Only ambition
To be a "trophy wife"
Although streetwise
Never bothered with books
Smart enough to know
She'd get by on her looks
Always made sure
She passed inspection
Couldn't get enough of
Her own reflection
Obvious choice
Would've been a model
Big round breasts
Nipples like a baby-bottle
Everyone told her
She's so fine
Got a job as an escort
Top of the line
Although streetwise
Never bothered with books
Smart enough to know
She'd get by on her looks
Looks fade fast
When you get your thrills
With all night sex
Booze and pills

Haha good stuff I like the concept of it, it flows nicely with good rhyme.

It has a nice and gentle flow like some early Eagles song. Maybe Hired Hand would make a good title too ('He was just a hired hand, working on the dreams he planned to try. The days go by'.).

Hi Doug! Hadn't read this one yet. I would have called it "Trophy wife", as you mention there that's all she was interested in
But that's again personal; anyways: that would fit your introduction that it has nothing to do with chasing girls
I like your style: crystal clear and straight to the point! -

''Couldn't get enough of
Her own reflection''
This one was too good. Nice work. -
Thanks razorblade.I thought you might see the bit that I was referring to in your song.Great minds think alike!Note:When I posted this I thought you were Cat69.Cat wrote a song that had something about a girl being shocked at her own reflection, this I said reminded me of this song"Hired Gun"When I posted this on Cat's Thread, and "Hired Gun" popped back up,I assumed it was from him.Sorry about the confusion!(Now you're probably more confused,by I tried!)

True man.
Btw I seriously didn't understand the rest of the part! I tried :-P -
Peter, when you first made this comment I hadn't seen the Eagles documentary that's been playing on Showtime.although I liked the Eagles,I'm now a HUGE fan.I'm especially a fan of Don Henley their singing/ writing drummer.I too am a triple threat.it's great to see a drummer take the reins of a band and lead it on to the well deserved success of the Eagles. Thanks so much for the comparison!

Hello Doug, I was pleasantly surprised finding your message in my mailbox. I've been away from this site for quite a while. Tangled up in other things. But your post was a very welcome incentive to get back here!
Once again these lyrics are such a great read. It still hasn't made it to the music playing level? -
No it's hasn't been recorded.Being an old fashioned guy,and a drummer,I'm at the mercy of my friends that can play and who have knowledge of computers and all the ways to "send" stuff thru cyber space.I'm working on recording a couple of songs. It's always a problem picking which songs to record. My picks sometimes aren't the same as the guys who skills I need to complete this task. It'd be great if I had a band and we were all trying to go in the same direction.I'll let you know if and when I do put my songs on YouTube.Good to see you back.I miss seeing your comments on Lyrics Review.
