Serbian /Croatian chit-chat off topic discussions

D&M I'm actually desparately looking for some good croatian music at the moment! So I'll look at them

When it comes to these two.. I guess they are both good but have totally different singing styles.. I suppose I prefer Zoran's version

I liked both But the first guy (Zoran) seems to have some more rock-style I don't know maybe that song suits better to him than to the winner.
btw we have the same show here but called Music Idol.Lepa Brena was a guest there.This year were castings in Macedonia too.One Macedonian guy got to the final and remained second.My parents were for him, negleting he's a Macedonian.
and I also watched some videos of Operacija triumf.It's been in all ex-Yu excluding Slovenia, right?

i like bojan's version better, he has a unique voice, zoran's voice is kind'a ordinary

uhhh I like mostly Funky G from Serbia but u know, they have many pop songs too along with some turbofolk and I like exactly them =)
Actually I know some singers from Croatia but for now I've liked only one song of Nina Badric

And just to mention: Hasan isn't a Bulgarian surname.She's married to a Turkish so she's received his surname.

I might be in the wrong place, but I found this site when looking for Regina-lyrics. I accidentally watched ESC - and fell in love with Davor, Bistra Voda, Regina, and later all their other songs. And even the language - that'll be my next task to learn it!

Anyway as I don't speak serbian/bosnian/croatian yet, and can't read news on the web I just want to hear if there are any interesting gossip... Girlfriends etc :-) I want to know everything, as I don't know anything about them more than the official story from the webpage and that Davor is wonderful and the music fantastic!! :-D

I don`t know if i`m posting this in the right topic but if i didn`t, then tell me !
I wanna learn Serbian language because i listen to so many serbian songs and i wanna learn because then i will understand more when i listen to the songs.
I`ve heard about an englisch book: Colloquial Serbian, written by Jelena Calic & Celia Hawkesworth. I think there`s a lot of information in it.
I wanna ask if someone knows that book and did you learn much from it?

I didn`t post this in the topic learning Serbian because it`s not about a translation or something.

Paulien I think the better place is the Learning thread.There are discussed all topics concerning learning of the 4 languages.The learning thread had nothing with translation of songs.
And yeah I noticed ur a great fan of Serbian music.. but ur from Netherlands,how did u discover it?

Ok I will post it in the learning tread I got the book today and there is a lot of information in it and some exercises, so I started today with learning grammar

Well I listen to Serbian music for 5 or 6 years now.. I was hanging out with a girl from Bosnia and she let me hear music from Seka Aleksic and I liked it so she got me a cd.
Here in Holland are party`s for people from Serbia,Bosnia,Croatia and with her I was going to those party`s and it was a lot of fun and great music.
And I got to learn more artists and most artists I liked, so I started to listen more music and went to more party`s, got to know more people from Serbia and that`s my story lol
I have a few good friends from Serbia and they also help me with translating some songs but they don`t have time to translate everything and that`s why I am here at the forum
