Can someone translate these, and use an example for them too:

I have also a few questions:

I) To be = hast
In colloquial speech "hast" can be omitted, but not the suffix.
"I am thirsty" teshne hastam / teshne am
you are thirsty: teshne hasti (?) (teshne ?????)
he/she is thirsty: what to do here? teshne hast?

2) Where did you learn english = koja englisi ra yad gerefti
what does "yad" stand for?
do we ad "ra" as if it were "where did you leanr THE english?

According to wikihow such words as ketab, ghaza, aabe, mahe are pronounced as follows:

"ketoob","oobe","moohii" and "ghazoo" (oo= pronounced like "awe" in english. Is that correct?

the vocabulary seems good. I think I know some words;

-mishe... I think "nemishe" is "can not", so "mishe" would be "can".. But it would be better if the teachers explain the right meaning once again
-chon... I know it from Turkish, it means "because".
-bood... I think it's the past tense of "to be". So in English "was".
-bashi to... I've read in one of the topics in the Persian Translation-part that "nabashi to" means "without you". So I think you're right with "with you"
-che... "Man che eshtebahi kardam?" means s.th like "What did I do wrong?". So it can mean "what, which" or something like this.

We need the teachers.

YAD GEREFTAN = Learning!
Yad & GereftaN can NOT mean :learning: when they're separate !! like, Wake & Up ! = wake up!

I learned English! = maN englisi ra Yad gereftaM!
you learned English! = to Englisi ra yad gerefti!
He/shE learned English! = oo englisi ra yad gereft!

+ we use "RA" for Showing thaT we have an OBJECT!

for examplE:

maN moallemaM ra/ro doost daraM! = i like my teacher!

* SOmetimeS! you caN Omit thaT in some sentences like this :

I learned English! = maN englisi ra Yad gereftaM! / maN englisi yad gereftaM!
i likE englisH = man englisi ra doosT daraM! / man englisi doost daraM!

Hi dear friends,
I wasn't around for quiet some times and I couldn't understand which questions are answered so please forgive me if some answers are duplicated.


1. mishe : can, could ---> e.g. mishe yekam ab behem bedi? Could you give me some water?
2. chon : because ---> e.g. bayad englisi balad basham chon daram miram UK. I must know English because I am going to UK
3. narahat : sad ---> e.g. narahat nabash. Don't be sad
4. nasho : don't ("nasho" should be translated in a sentence it might have different meanings but don't is the general one)
5. harja : anywhere,everywhere ---> eg. harja khasti mitooni beri. You can go everywhere you want.
6. migam : I say ("migam" doesn't mean "I said" it is present form.) But "migam" has another usage for example your friends and you are planning a weekend and every body say their opinion about the place you want to go. You might say: "man migam berim labe sahel" it means "I think we should go to the beach." It is also used as a threat which is very popular among children for example when a kid do something wrong the other one tell them "be babat migam ha" means "I will tell your dad that you have done something wrong"
7. injoori : this way (it doesn't used to show direction but used to tell somebody how to do something) ---> bayad injoori anjam bedi. You have to do it this way.
8. bood : was, were ---> kheili khob bood. It was very good.
9.pas: so, because ---> to nayoomadi pas man ham nemiram. You didn't come so, I won't go.
10. bia berim: let's go
11. bebin: look
12. bashi to: I think you find it in a song can you write the sentence? (it is not common
13. bahale : that is cool --> in mehmooni kheili bahale. This party is very cool.
14. mage : it is highly depended on your sentence. For example "mage man nagoftam naro mehmooni?" means "Haven't I told you not to go to the party?" but "naro mehmooni mage inke man behet ejaze bedam" means "Don't go to the party unless I let you."
15. che : which, what ---> che rangi doost dari? What color do you like?

Kheyli mamnoon!

1) when "Hast" is omited there is 2 forms to make an informal sentence:
"I am thirsty" teshne hastam / teshne am ------> teshname this is more common in everyday speaking
you are thirsty: teshne hasti (This is correct in Formal form)/ teshne is not correct it is teshneyi or more common teshnate
he/she is thirsty: teshne hast (is not correct it is "teshne ast" in formal form)/ teshnashe in informal form

2)
2.1)yad is a part of "yad gereftan". It is a verb in Farsi means learn the synonym of it is "amookhtan"
2.2) no "ra" doesn't mean THE. When a sentece have an Object we add "ra" to connect the object to the verb. In this example "Where did you learn English?" English is the object so in Farsi we say "englisi ra koja yad gerefti?"
