I know I know.. I am not sure about the originate part though.
As for Nestle etc, we have a bad habbit here.. We associate a whole category with the most famous product of it. Let me explain what I mean.
For example,
instead of "cartoon" some would say "miki maous"
instead of "hot instant coffee" all say "nes(cafe)"
instead of "chocolate cream" some would say "merenda"
instead of "filter coffee" all say "french coffee - gallikos"
and so on and on..
For the rest, you are mostly correct and am curious for Cola n kafe (I so need that these days..)
Smartass moment!
Lets go inside = Eko tria arkidia
Thank you = Orea vyzia
hihihihi....

"Τα αλλοπαρμένα αγγελούδια μου κοίτα
πως ξεμυτάνε απ’ του ουρανού τα λημέρια
Κι όλοι το ξέρουν πως
απόψε θα έχουμε μια όμορφη νύχτα
κι αύριο θα είναι μια καλύτερη μέρα.." -
Yeah... and for copiers - xerox, for breaking producrs - ferodo.
For heaven's sake, don't listen to him and NEVER say "orea vizia", unless you want to get your butt kicked. LOL -

αν ο Θεός δεν είναι Έλληνας, τότε γιατί είναι μπλέ και άσπρος ο ουρανός; -
Well Susi mou, it means carnation. It's a flower.

Garifalo is a flower; Nelke auf deutsch.
Back to nescafe: but its true the greek nescafe frappe (the instant powder itslef) tastes different (better) than the german instant nescafe: That´s really true!
Another example: in germany we call chocolate cream Nutella; its the most wellknown brand in germany (like merenda in Greece). Last week my friedn bought Nutella in Italy. And it tastet different, and we compared th ingredients, and the percentages of each were different.
Oh my good, where did we end in this discussion: LOL
