no, i do consider myself an adult, sort of, I'm not a kid anyway, though until I find a new job I can't really consider myself a full adult because I'm not economically independent.

I dunno, for me, old are people that are older than my mother (so, born before the 1950's), and people that are fully grown up are about my sisters' ages (so, in their 40's), and someone is "my age" if they are 22-35, and anyone else is "young".

My mother didn't used to be old, but she came to visit me in May, and I helped her up the stairs and helped her to get out of the bath tub, and helped her to walk to the tram stop with me, so she is definitely old now.

Gosh.. . why are these people talking about me in my absence? LOL

I suppose the the term adult refers to 18 or 21 year old .. depending on the country..
But, tedinkyyy, you kinda made me look very old with that "if I didn't know you were... "

But no matter how old I am .. don't you see my location is Neverland?

And, does anyone like my Balkanika?

    Question Turbofolk

I've heard you talking about turbofolk so much now, and the term is completely new for me (I hardly knew anything about Balkan music some months ago).

But having seen another thread, I guess this is "turbofolk" - am I right?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YsMinGyeAY&NR=1

And if this is turbofolk, I definitely do NOT like turbofolk

I love the music of Regina, any suggestions of other similar Balkan bands or singers?

    da, that is turbofolk. fuj.

    is this turbofolk though? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoGg8_NBKDo

I think it's a funny song... I was singing it to Nutkin, my little degu "ja sam zmiiiiiija a ti si žaba žaba, možeš da bežiš ali džaba džaba i kada upadneš u zamputu u šipražju u jednom zalogaju tebe ja progutaću" and he ran and hid in his little house. I guess the lyrics were too realistic for him.

Stuff you see on Pink tv (such as in that video and especially those with the label Grand Festival) is most likely to be Turbo Folk
If you're interested in finding out more about it, read this - click
Unlike the Turbo thing; Commercial Folk, which is a creation of modern age, folk music is something else.. - narodna muzika and every country has its own - traditional folk music.
I sort of have my own idea of diferentiating the two - turbo is the stuff that is incredibly kitschy and there are some songs by Ceca, Dragana Mirkovic, Snezana Babic (example) etc. which are not so kitschy and actually likable although Ceca is listed in that Wikipedia article as the creator of the Turbo stream lol
A folk musician is Haris Dzinovic (and, not that it goes well with Tiesto but) I definitely like him!
    Example:
    three songs with translation

As for your Regina question Kejo, I already made a list in my previous post.. you might like some of those..

poor degu pthalo!!! (I'm still wondering if there's a SR word for the lil animal lol)
That reminds me of SR 2009 Eurovision song..
There's folk in it allright but we can call it turbo shi* lol

Love the Balkanika song! I like this kind of music when I`m relaxing on my couch

When I started to listen to slavic music I really loved Jelena Karleusa lol I even went to a concert from her :P it was fun but she really looked like a living barbie doll
Now that I know most of her lyrics don`t make sence I stopped listening to her. But I still love her song Upravo Ostavljena

    No And Wikipedia agrees

Funky G (Anabela Djogani) is a popular Serbian dance music duo.
I even liked them when they first became popular with their first album - Samo u snu : )

you also have a list in my post,
i don't really know much about Regina, but from the few songs i have heard they seem to me to be influenced by Plavi Orkestar and Crvena Jabuka (pop-rock). they are both also from Sarajevo.

I am so in love with this song:

    Tamo gdje sada ti si
    samotna sva ti, ti si
digni me tamo gdje si ti, ti, ti
digni me tamo gdje si ti, ti, ti

Vodi me tamo gdje si ti
volim te zato sto si ti
digni me tamo gdje si ti
vodi me tamo gdje si ti

    (šta je to samotna?)

I love Samo u snu too And even though they turned toward the more folk-sounding last years, u must agree their lyrics have no dirty meaning and they don't sound like turbo...
