the verb ВЕЗТИ (vezti) - formed from verb "возить" and have many different meanings like carry, convey,transport
ex:
the ship could carry 70 passengers - судно могло перевезти 70 пассажиров
to transport by airplane - перевозить на самолете

the verb ВЕСТИ (vesti) - formed from verb "водить" and also have many different meanings too, like lead,guide,dirrect,drive
ex:
lead a blind man - вести (сопровождать) слепого человека
drive a car - вести машину (управлять)

It is possible to pronounce it with hard [k] and with [x, like in loch] usually transliterated as [kh].
