... And then, "Skillos" (=dog) or "Skillikatzis" (=dog person), someone into "HEAVY GREEK MUSIC" ... the kind they play in "SKILLADIKA" (=dog houses) ... hahahaha ...

These were HEAVY places (I guess the equivalent to HEAVY METAL!!) (I would imagine places like these are still popular for some kind of people !!) , ONLY INSTEAD of HEAVY ELECTRICAL GUITAR PLAYING ... it is HEAVY BOUZOUKI ... hahahahahahahaha ....

THis is SOOOOOOO funny to explain .... hahahahahaha ....

"... actually, the word "orientation" does NOT mean "preferance" ... it means "the way you go" and does not imply "choice in the matter" ... it is what a person likes ... e.g. I like chocolate and strawberry ice-cream, it is not my choice NOT to like "vanilla" ... I cannot possibly "TELL" my tongue what to like !!!!!! ... you see ?! ....

THAT's why I used the phrase "musical orientation" ... and it was wrong of me to "explain" it using the verb "prefer" ... it's "orientation" and not "preferance" ...

Hello, omorfi! Why did you put the album away? It gives you cold chills because of me?!

And, Philadelphia, I thought I made this clear: there is no day without an opened thread. Today, there are two that wait some attention
    Kidding!

and yes ... omorfi, I did go to a "skilladiko" once ... !!!!

.. it was during the time, I attempted to go and "live in" Greece .... ... Athens, mind you ... and it was BEFORE it became GORGEOUS (ever since the 2004 Olympic Games) ...

... Athens and just generally Greece, is NOT "my cup of tea" ... ...

... so, that attempt did not follow through ... most of it had to do with that "visit" at the "skilladiko" .... hahahahaha ....

Hm, I'd partly disagree. And yes, they are still popular indeed.

By the way, why the double "l" in "skyladika"?

Yeah, Tzina. I won't mention what my man calls me if I happen to play one of these songs at home. lol

Lightbulb Too much of a "good thing" ...

... panseline mou, you are being "too much of a Virgo" ... and you know what they say : "too much of a good thing, is bad" ... ...

... you are being too "judgemental", as Virgos' definitive attribute has it ... ...

So, to respond to your comments ... ... ...

Please, bear in mind that the world existed before you youngsters "existed" ... lol ... therefore, there ARE certain things you would NOT be familiar with ... ... how things were ... where they originated from, etc, etc, etc ... ...
I have NO doubt, that YOUR "experience" of how things ARE, is correct and little or A LOT, different from what things used to be ... ...
Also, bear in mind, that "natives" HAVE an "inner knowledge" of things, of their own "culture" ... and this is obviously "true", for EVERY single thing and not just the "Greek way of life", as I am sure you know yourself ...

By the way, why the double "l" in "skyladika"? : )

NO SPECIFIC reason why there is a "double L" in the word "Skilladika", other than, I wrote it as I would "pronounce" it, using "English characters" ...

Yeah, Tzina. I won't mention what my man calls me if I happen to play one of these songs at home. lol
Would that satisfy your examination ... ?! ...
