Hi Bugmenot1
That's an interesting version of Depeche Mode.
But it isn't my song
That cover's tempo is way too fast.
Also note that my song isn't as obvious as Depeche Mode.

Last guess(es) without a sub-genre (your BF almost sounds Ipanema Bossa nova).
This one is with Pah pahs and Steely Dan school:
Feist - One Evening

For other assorted onomatopoeia, you might also listen to her in: Leisure Suite, Mushaboom, So Sorry and Snow Lion
Hi BlueNileFan
Thank you for your generous help.
But I'm afraid it isn't Feist![]()
have you tried something by the cardigans? they are certainly 60's lounge-ish and they get played still. i can't think of any songs off the top of my head that have those lyrics though.
I reckon it's this one:
"Just the way you are" by Milky

Hi Roofdweller,
Thank you for your help.
But it isn't Milky
That Milky song is has a strong dance vibe and a completely different melody.
The song I've been so desperately searching for is a bit slower with a softer 60's kind of lounge vibe.
I don't think anyone will ever be able to track it down because I heard it on MUZAK.
How about Jaci Velasquez... We Can Make A Difference
Can only find a good version on Amazon... you can listen to the track here. Scroll down to Track 7 :

Hi Dapps,
Thank you for your kind input.
But I'm afraid it isn't Jaci Velasquez.
It's amazing that no one has yet been able to track down this illusive song.
I feel so bad for picking such a difficult one to find![]()
The link you gave to http://www.4shared.com/file/13762585...TERY_SONG.html never seems to be available. Could you repost somewhere more reliable?
This is becoming a bit of a challenge!
I've been looking for a song that was in a car comercial for awhile I'm pretty sure it's Suzanne Vega: Tom's Diner
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfHCeKAem-0&feature=fvst
maybe that's the one you're looking for too?
"loving you" by minnie ripperton ?
Unfortunately justagirl5 has not signed on in over a year...
My next wild guess was going to be a cover of "Jesus is Just Alright" by Shelagh McDonald (1970).
Them that can, do; them that can't... memorize Artist and Title
