Zdravei! kak ste?
I have a few questions to ask you about your HARD language...i though i was starting to understando some conversations in bulgarian (my boyfriend is from bg), some words, and so on...and i decided to buy a little book of bg tales (for kids as u can see :P) with the help of a dictionary i can understand what they are talking about, but there are some things that i can't imagine where they come from...for example:
1. Napravilo...the vres is "make" but what's that -lo means? i saw it also in these verbs, izbralo, davalo...and also -la like kazvala, iskala... are they verbs int he past? i know daimi, iskam and so on, but it's the first time i see this -la and -lo forms...
2. and then as last thing...the word eggs (the tale it's about a bird, eggs a fox and so on...) i saw eggs written like this: qitsata, qichitsata, qichitse...-ta and -to is like saying "the"..it's all i know for the moment!
thanks for hearing!! i hope somebody an explain this because when i think i have learnt something...i see a lot of thing that i still have to learn...bg is reeeeally difficult!
kisses!["Comment veux-tu qu'la terre tourne à l'endroit si nos cerveaux marchent à l'envers man?"]·· -
"Napravilo" can be translated as: It has made ... for instance --> The Child has made a mess --> It has made a mess --> Deteto e napravilo burkotiya --> To e napravilo burkotiya. "It" is translated as "To" in Bulgarian. When you have a verb ending in -lo, it means that it is in past tense, 3-rd person ("It" only!!) , singular. When you have a verb ending in -la [Napravila], it's in past tense, 3-rd person ("She" only!), singular, because it indicates only "female" object and females in general :] When you have a verb ending in -l [Napravil]-> it's in past tense, 3rd person, singular, but it's only for "male" objects and men. :}
... I hope I explained it well :]Ungir kallar, kátir kallar, gangið upp á gólv dansið lystilig! -
For your second question:
Яйцата/Qitsata means "The Eggs", because яйца/Qitsa means Eggs, while яйце/Qitse means [only one] Egg; Яйчицата/Qichitsata means something like "The little Eggs" ... because "яйчице/qichitse" [Little egg] is diminutive for "яйце/qitse" :]Ungir kallar, kátir kallar, gangið upp á gólv dansið lystilig! -
okk lopatka, i think i have understand! your explanation was great really! just one one more question, so -la, -lo- and -l is like past `perfect in english isnt it? and about the eggs it clear too!XD thank you very much for your answers!
by the way, are you bulgarian or canadian?=) take care!!["Comment veux-tu qu'la terre tourne à l'endroit si nos cerveaux marchent à l'envers man?"]·· -
Oh, ok :] I thought my explanation was too confusing :P I think it's rather Present Perfect than Past Perfect ... :P And I am Bulgarian ;]] I just live in Canada :]

whats the difference between:
че and това ?
They both mean - THAT. but why sometimes use Che and sometimes use Tova?? -
Eins.. hier kommt die Sonne
Zwei..hier kommt die Sonne
Drei.. hier kommt die Sonne
Vier
Fünf
Sechs
Sieben..
Acht..
Neun.....
Ich hab' keine Lust. -
I thought that този was "this"?
-
this [ðis] = Този/Тоя , Тази/Тая and Това.
1) The translation depends on the gender of the noun you use ... for example.
This table - ТАЗИ маса
This horse - ТОЗИ кон
This kid - ТОВА дете
2) as tedinkyyy said it can be used like this :
This is a x - Това е x (x = any word. It is translated as Това all the time .. )
What is this ? - Какво е това ? (It is translated as Това all the time .. )
(transcription ... or something like that)
Tози - Tozi
Тоя - Toq
Тази - Tazi
Тая - Taq
Това - Tova
(I might be missing something .. thats all I can think of for now) -
so if i wanted to say
What is that = Kakvo e tova? or Kakvo e che? -
Kakvo e tova ?

Uses of "че" ... since I cannot describe it I will give few examples
I know THAT you are here.
Az znam, CHE ti si tuk.
He realised THAT he was in danger.
Toi razbra, CHE (toi) e v opasnost.
It's usually
Verb + THAT + .. a fact.
Verb + , + CHE + .. a fact.Last edited by Me10c; 02-17-2009 at 10:13 PM.
