i love the bulgarian language
I know its random, but I just wanted to say it
I love writing it, speaking it, SINGING IT (MALINA), and mostly, listening to it![]()
They are from Batak? Cool, I've never been there, but I've heard it's was beautiful village :] It's an important historical place, too :P
@Propel: I've got a question for you :P You've heard Russian, right? Does it sound the same as Bulgarian, or you can clearly hear a difference? Many people in Canada think I speak Russian when they hear me speaking Bulgarian and that was bugging me for a while :] .. well, others swear that I speak French and not Bulgarian, but that's another topic![]()

hey lopatka!!
I can useually tell the difference between Russian and Bulgarian. They sometimes sound similar, but they do have a definate difference.
--I'll try and find something for you, hold on![]()
Lopatka,
Here are 2 different interviews (1 in Bulgarian, and 1 in Russian)
Listen to one, then listen to the other. You can VERY MUCH hear the difference between Russian and Bulgarian.
bulgarian : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBff0EgmLPU
russian : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzHfeHQowLI
Can you tell the difference?
I can, for sure .. because I'm Bulgarian and I know that they are not the same. It is true that we share at least 40% of our vocabulary, but our pronunciation is toootally different :P I was just wondering if it really sounds so similar for people who do not speak a Slavic language. Thanks [these were some weird interviews, btw :P ]

Here Lucia 9. I hope that I will answer your requirements
1. I would like to know bulgarian to be able to talk with you.
2. what is the typical bulgarian food?
Here one more question:
Could you recommend me to taste any of your national dishes?
3. Batak seems to my village - I think this sentence is wrong. Here the correct:
'Batak and my village are very alike'
or 'Batak is like my village'
4. have you always been living in this village?
5. How was Niko when he was young?
Here one more : What kind of person was Niko when he was young?
(бе and беше are one and the same thing, but the 1st is the short form)
6. Thank you very much for treating us so well.
7. I hope to see you soon in Spain or Bulgaria
8. I would like to invite you to have meal - here, the indefinite article was missed by you, I mean 'to have A meal'
(in BG meal can mean а breakfast/а lunch/а dinner, according to the tеxt, like in English)
9. At what time do you usually have meal/dinner?
10. What do you think about Spain/spanish people?
(Испанците are men and women, native of Spain, but испанския народ is the Spanish nation. Испания is Spain)
I hope that you will understand them. If you have some questions, ask and I will try to explain them. :P Hasta luego muchacha.![]()
