) of course i write as i wish. well 1st of all i never use poi :P but i use kre and nush and sometimes, actually most of the time, u in place of tu or you (as U wrote as well in all of Ur posts). i don't see what's the abbreviations pb? i also hate exaggerated ways of abbreviating/writing romanian words and i don't think is my case.

getting back to the subject of this thread, i found a forum of neylini. should i be a little acid and post there something about her greek pronounciation or just leave the girl alone? tough decision....hmmm... the temptation is just too big... ok, i'll do it

@ Kmmy: i use U for YOU as almost all people do, including the native english speakers. The pronounciation is the same. If you use U instead of TU there's a problem, because u get another word. And u use an english abreviation for a romanian word. How hard is to write TU? 2 letters only. I too use abreviations like tb or vb. But only when i talk to close friends and i'm in a real hurry. Those are internet abreviations. NUSH is not an abreviation, it's a distorsion. Same as OKZIE or KND. You only save one letter in these cases. So what's the point? You admit u use these and in the same time u say u hate them and that it's not your case. Make up your mind

i don't write OKZIE and words like that, which are really far away from their original form. i don't see what's the problem with knd and kre and u, as long as i only write them on the internet, not in my notebooks, not when i give a test paper. and i said i also hate EXAGGERATED ways of abbreviating/writing romanian words, example: okzie. if u don't like my way of writing don't read my posts... simple as that.. and btw i didn't write with capital letters when i started a new sentence, would u blame me for that too?

Oh it's ok with me, I understand some abreviations like nush, knd and u. Kmmy poate sa scrie cum ii place, nu am nici problema :*

P.S. Btw what's okzie? I'm really curious now, is it ocazie or what?

Yes, Maria, "okzie" is a distorsion for "ocazie". It would be like "muleina" for you.
@ Kmmy : Camy, if u look at that post about "horis branza" u'll see that u really used "okzia". But nevermind. I rest my case. I'm sorry u got upset. Would u accept my appologise? Soooorry! I won't do it again.

ohh... now that i read it again okzie is ocazie as u said, but some persons i know write ok as okies or smth with z and i had the impresion it means ok so that's why i said is exaggerated. some of exaggerated abbreviations i remember now (and those i was talking about) are zooper for super and q for cu , ji for si, pwp for pup

    apologises accepted

Btw, Maria, i see u really speak romanian. "Nicio problema" though, not "nici problema". U speak romanian a lot better than i speak greek, that's for sure. Where did u learn it?

    Oh good to know that

Eh I don't speak very well as you noticed... I'm trying to learn, I have a book that I don't have much time to read , also I listen to songs and read translations here. Oh Dya gave me a book with tales written by Mircea Eliade, if I remember well (thank you my dear, I've read it ). I still have a lot to learn

    Thank u, kammy.
I posted a few words about "mou leei na" on Neylini's forum. Maria, "mou leei na" means "tells me to" not "tells me that" (as in "tells me that i' don't speak greek well", right? On that forum i found a press article about "muleina", which said that the title of the song means "tells me that". So i wrote there that it's not correct. The administrator of the forum answered me and said "neylini said it means <tells me that>". Well, if Neylini said that... Maria u're wrong! U don't speak greek very well. Neylini does

@ Maria: have u tried Pimsleur's audio lessons? I cand send them to u, if u want. They would help u with the pronounciation. I think i also have those lessons in writing...

well, to tell u the truth, i haven't listened to the romanian lessons yet, since i didn't need them I listened to some Pimsleur lessons for learning greek. Until one day a greek guy told me u don't use the word "despinis" anymore. So i stopped listening to those, i thought they were very old. Then, another greek told me that yes, u still use that word. I don't know what to believe anymore. The lessons are good for learning the pronounciation. Although in some cases i think they insist too much on it. I uploaded the files here
    http://rapidshare.com/files/25392455...anian.zip.html
click on "free user" (in case u're not familiar with Rapid Share).
i thought i have the files in writing too, but i don't. There's a pdf file along with the mp3 ones, but it's not very good. it makes u search the words a lot. but i'll listen to the files and i'll write the romanian words that u hear there, then send the file to u. Also, in case there's something wrong with the mp3's, i'll let u know.

On a second thought, i guess your knowledge of romanian language is far too good for those lessons. I think u already know much more than what u'll hear there.

Thank you so much! No, these lessons will help me a lot, especially to improve my pronunciation which sucks

    Thanks again, filakia

Good morning people! Sorry for my absence but these days are very busy for me as I have an exam to prepare for (why did I choose I job that involves so many exams?!?! I'm too old for this! Bleah! )

I see I missed entire conversations around here. Ovelix, I totally agree with you about abbreviations, distorisions, etc, sometimes it's really difficult for me to understand the meaning of them. I got used to kmmy's way of writing because she only uses a few of these and that I can handle

@Maria: So, you read the book! Did you like it? Cause I was really curious about your opinion

@Kmmy: ai trecut cu bine de bac?

And now I wish you all a wonderul day and nice discussions around here. I'll be watching you

    Good morning, girls!
@ Maria: If u think they would really help u, i'll go on with their transcription. Did u manage to download them?
@ Dya: I bet u're an accountant. Or a teacher. Good luck with the exam! So Maria reads Mircea Eliade! Wow! And i'm sending her mp3 lessons for learning romanian in which she can hear "hello, do u speak romanian?", "no, sir, i don't speak romanian", "are u american?", "yes, miss, i am american". LOL . At least i hope they will help her with the pronounciation
