He hath sent insectivores invisible to thine eye to gobble the dead cells, one by one, leaving baby-fresh skin . . .

Hahaha! That's a good one, Doug! Wonder if ATLers from other countries understand the significance of American deserts + UFOs, and especially the famous film link between Devil's Tower + UFOs?

Recent, yes, Viv, but mostly long-standing news beginning in the mid-20th century. Although "sightings" have been reported everywhere, the most intriguing information comes from the U.S. western desert regions. Particularly, there is also a high security government aeronautics facility, called Area 51 in the Nevada desert that has been a strongly debated conspiracy theory ("pro" and "con") regarding UFOs.

Also, there was a movie called "Close Encounters - Of the Third Kind," sometime--1970s?? 80s?? It was a blockbuster movie about alien encounters, and the Devil's Tower (if I recall correctly) fit into the theme. Haven't seen it in years, but I remember it as an interesting, impactful, yet not completely dead-serious movie (that is, the special effects were great for the time period--but with all the "alien" movies to date, it may no longer have the same impact! The focus was more on individuals and a family, whereas "alien" movies for decades since have been about ugly beings, violent war, and annihilation. I guess--I don't watch them much.)
