    What do u mean with "i'm not having my arm around u?" If u mean kinda hugging, then it can be "Tako je teško da zaspim kad te nisam zagrilila, tako mi snažno nedostaješ .."
    Eins.. hier kommt die Sonne
    Zwei..hier kommt die Sonne
    Drei.. hier kommt die Sonne
    Vier
    Fünf
    Sechs
    Sieben..
    Acht..
    Neun.....

    Do you mean "Sta je"? It means "What's wrong?" or "What's up?" or "What do you want?". Has different meanings, depending on the rest of the sentence.

    Moras - "Have to."

    Jel - probably means "Right?", but it depends on the rest of the sentence, because it often comes with another word to it.

    Nisam - "I didn't" (male gender).

    "Tako je teško zaspati kad te ne grlim, tako mi nedostajes". This is tricky, because you can't really say that you are hugging him with just one arm (you can, but it sounds ridiculous).

    It can also go like "Tako je teško zaspati kad te nemam u zagrljaju, tako mi nedostaješ". "Zagrljaj" meaning hug, but, yet again, with both hands. It's like a normal hug Or "Tako je teško zaspati kad te nemam pod rukom, tako mi nedostaješ.", with "kad te nemam pod rukom" meaning "when you are not under my arm" - sounds kind of funny in both English and Croatian

    first of all i must say "pozdravi" well i found myself in a very emabarasing situation , that because the fact i didn`t practiced serbian language for a very long time , woked up to find gone .... no bigger shame than this for a half blood serb ( the other is romanian ) ... tried with "teach yourself serbian, tried with euortalk speak serbian , trien with serbianschool ....yes they are good , but can`t compare with speaking with a native , so if someone have time and nerve ( kidding ... i like to think i am not an anoying person ) if someone can sometimes teach me his spare time some basic stuff , i`ll be more than happy ... a person without going back to the roots has no p[resent and no future ..... i promise i`ll bring cookies ))

    helloi think i need some help with casestell me short or long which endings will get singular form of masculine,feminine,neuther nouns in cases which call "датив","вокатив","инструментал"?

    Dativ (its endings are the same is in locativ)
    M.g. - sg.: om/u* u novom stanu
    F.g. - sg. : oj/i u novoj kući
    N.g - sg. : om/u* u novom dvorištu

    Vocativ
    M.g. eg. M-r Petrović - Gospodine Petroviću (usually end on e or u): Ivane, prijatelju itd
    F.g. : short names end on o: Nado,Rado itd ; longer names ending on "ica" end on e: Zorice,Milice itd ...the other longer names don't have forms
    N.g.: i don't know them

    Instrumental
    M.g. - sg: im/om** sa mojim drugom
    F.g. - sg: om/om sa njenom drugaricom
    N.g. - sg : im/om sa njegovim društvom

    * after sounds like j,ž,š,č,ć,đ,c it's em/u ---> brinim se o moJem zdravlju
    ** after the same letters om is em sa mojim oCem
    Eins.. hier kommt die Sonne
    Zwei..hier kommt die Sonne
    Drei.. hier kommt die Sonne
    Vier
    Fünf
    Sechs
    Sieben..
    Acht..
    Neun.....

    Locative:

    brinim se o moJem zdravlju --> brinem se o mom zdravlju (in this case)

    otac --> o mom ocu ili mome ocu (about my father)
    (I think this shorter form is far more present in spoken Serbian)

    Dative Vs. Locative
    If you find just "Mojem ocu", it is in the dative
    mojem ocu ---> kome? (dative) Mojem (mom) ocu = za mog/mojeg oca, addressed to my father. Not "o kome?" = o mom ocu , about my father (locative)

    In many cases, it could be both mojem i mom.

    But I am really not 100% sure.

    Vocative

    Masculine
    Pero --->Hej Pero!
    Andrija ---> Hej Andrija!
    Perica ----> Hej Perice!
    čovek ---> Hej čoveče!
    borac ---> Hej borče! ???
    pušač ---> Hej pušaču!

    Feminime
    žena ---> ženo

    Personal names usually stay the same
    Vera ---> Hej Vera/ Vero (Vero in a village )
    Ivana ---> Hej Ivana!

    Neuter
    stays the same
    sunce ---> hej sunce!
    devojče ---> hej devojče!

    A ja sam uvek mislila da je samo kod nas tako, a u Srbiji je normalan nacin dozivanja
    Eins.. hier kommt die Sonne
    Zwei..hier kommt die Sonne
    Drei.. hier kommt die Sonne
    Vier
    Fünf
    Sechs

    tedinkyyy, maybe they don't have phones there so when they yell, it turns into OOOOOOOOO at the end!
    Otherwise, my upstares neighbor should be taught that the gadget (phone) has been made exactly to exclude the need to yell like an animal across the field when calling someone (though I must admit I have no idea if she would call her Vera friend Vero )

    So.. Ej Veraaaaaaaaaa is correct. Forget about Vero lol

    But, there is a reason why ina didn't say they always stay the same...
    Mira --> Hej Miro!
    Maja--> Hej Majo!
    Goran --> Hej Gorane!
    Milos --> Hej Milose!
    Ivan --> Hej Ivane!
    Jovan --> Hej Jovane!

    Maybe there is some rule about this but ...
