Everyone's help has been very much appreciated! Thanks!!

Hey guys, I just started to learn some Romanian and this forum is very interesting and helpful. Can anyone please translate there sentences, I can't figure them out:

    Ceea ce
îi faci tatălui tău este o măgarie.

    Fă-ţi bagajele.
Ai să mergi indiferent dacă vrei sau nu. - this is something like indifferent wheter you want to or not I guess...

    Hello and welcome

    Here you are:

Ceea ce îi faci tatălui tău este o măgarie.
What you're doing to your father is an infamy/ a villainy.

    Fă-ţi bagajele.
    Pack your bags.
Ai să mergi indiferent dacă vrei sau nu.
You'll go whether you want it or not. / You'll go no matter if you want it or not.

Vreau să ştiu de ce forma de plural cuvintelor ca "lacrimă" şi "limbă" se scriu "lacrimi" şi "limbi" în loc de "lacrime" şi "limbe."

    Mersi anticipat!

Well, I don't think there's any rule for that. those are just exceptions and I think you'll have to learn those particular cases. there are also nouns, which in plural form change almost entirely(geaca-geci) so... there's no rule for the plural form I guess but for most nouns you add an e or an i to the end of the word to form it.

Can anybody name some sites where I could read literature in Romanian language, would be excellent if there were also parallel texts in English or Russian, but don't have to be. Some classical literature maybe, then I can find a translation in my own language.

I'd recommend going to Wikipedia & finding things in English then asking for the same pages in Romanian; the pages are usually quite parallel.

As for classical...I have no idea Sorry!

Per "mi-e frica, mi-e foame, mi-e frig", e come "ho paura, ho fame, ho freddo" in italiano. Ma, "mi-e" anche si dice per "mi manco" come "mi-e dor." Cosi, "mi-e" non e sempre "ho." A volte dipende.

E per "viitorul" e "trecutul" e "il futuro" e "il presente."

Ma, non credo che capsico il tuo questione...spiacente.

AAAAAH, ora capisco. Credo che si dice cosi:

Tu hai paura - Ţi-e frică
    Lui/lei ha paura - Şi-e frică
Noi abbiamo paura - Ne e frică
Lei ha/Voi avete paura - Vă e frică
    Essi/loro hanno paura - Şi-e frică

Ma non so sufficente circa d'i tempi...nuovamente, spiacente.

Ok, I am not sure I understand everything both of you wrote in Italian, and since Lady A is not around, I will answer your initial question, faratine and I need to correct something DeBaires said.

    Present tense:
    I. Mi-e foame-I am hungry
    II. Ți-e foame-You are hungry
III. Îi e foame-He/she is hungry
    I.pl. Ne e foame-We are hungry
    II.pl. e foame-You(pl) are hungry
III. Le e foame- They are hungry

( e foame stays the same. You change the prounouns-You need the dative short form of the pronoun)

    Past tense:
    Mi-a fost foame-I was hungry
Ți-a fost foame- You were hungry
    I-a fost foame-He/she was hungry
    Ne-a fost foame-We were hungry
    V-a fost foame-You(pl) were hungry
    Le-a fost foame-They were hungry

(basically in past tense a fost foame stays the same for all persons, all you change is the pronoun. )

    Future tense
Îmi va fi foame-I will be hungry
Îți va fi foame-You will be hungry
Îî va fi foame-He/she will be hungry
Ne va fi foame-We will be hungry
va fi foame-You(pl) will be hungry
Le va fi foame-They will be hungry

(the same here: va fi foame stays the same. Use the pronoun for each person)

The alternative for the future(and quite used) is what we call the popular future. Here you are:
    O să îmi fie foame
    O să îți fie foame
    O să îi fie foame
    O să ne fie foame
    O să fie foame
    O să le fie foame

o să & fie foame stay the same, and again you need the dative pronoun foe each person.

Of course, things look exactly the same for the other expressions you mentioned: mi-e frică (I am scared), mi-e somn(I am slepy), mi-e cald(I am hot), mi-e frig(I am cold), mi-e lene(I feel lazy), mi-e dor ( I am longing) , etc.
