it's really good that you told me about it coz, i really didn't see it

why don't you try to trasfer some of them to CDs or to flash memory... may be you like to keep them infront of your eyes all the time

    i'm afraid there's some mistakes, i mean
you say to a guy kefak, but the last k is something like single you so, so you say kef without "k".
    kefo khayak
    kifhon (kifon) khwank..

i will see the website you mentioned

    Smile what does "deenee" mean?

    Hi,

My mother was Syrian. When I was little, my father called me "deenee" (phonetic spelling as I remember it). I always thought that it meant darling in Syrian (Arabic) but, recently, I read Sitti's Secret by Naomi Nye and found out that "habibi" means darling.

I don't speak Syrian (Arabic). I've asked my 88 year old aunt in Canton, OH what the word means but she didn't know.

I'm sorry that this is not a song lyric but could someone please tell me what my father was calling me? : )

    Thanks,

    Astarte

    Hi Orlee,

Thank you! I like that phrase - "pampering name". Probably similar to a "pet name" or like a term of endearment which only has meaning in the family circle.

deeenee = my religion and i believe that your father used to say " yes'ed deenee " and we use that a lot and i bet that he used to smile when he said it to you.

    Hi Louie,

Thank you for your reply. Is the phrase "yes'ed deenee" another example of a pampering name without meaning?
