*a faucet here is something like a fountain, back in the days, as this whole song is actually sung in somewhat old bulgarian, the story she tells and the way she tells it is from the old days hehe, so the faucet in question here is what they had in small cities and villages then, a fountain made like tap in the central place of the village/city.. hope that makes sense to you

** similarly , a swain is the poetic word for a young unmarried man, the equivalent of the feminine maiden
