There is no glamour in sudden death, and nobody ever wins a war.

Refill the hourglass
With dreams and hope
Make someone smile today
make someone smile today
where burnt grass burst into tears
so hard to accomplish
Hard to accomplish
To smile at the reflection
Day in,Day out
Thanks, Frankie - especially since I haven't read his poetry![]()
day in, day out,
grain waves under gentle sunlight
harvest for all
corpses in my eyes
bare and barren of all life
nothing seems to change
Nothing seems to change
Am I always to be alone
She walks slowly out of the mist
she walks slowly out of the mist
rescueboat waited for
an endless day of helping hands

Within our subjective human experience - whatever point we find in it.
Outside it - whatever point there may or may not be; we wouldn't know - we only have our subjective experience.
I often wonder what point our ancestors found in their life; for hundreds of generations, their life would have struggled to compare favourably to that of Syrians today. Better alive than dead?...

why this, why that?
this is
because that is.
You're comparing two different civilizations, one of which today would be viewed as barbaric and backwards, proving that we havent progressed at all as human beings.
During that time, their life was acceptable to them, the fight for survival, survival of the fittest, the fastest, the biggest, the stronger - but now? Are we insinuating that seeing thousands being killed daily is somehow normal and acceptable?
