thank you zahra!
thank you zahra!
then you can practice with some common daily phrases, like:
cuanto cuesta?
podrias ayudarme?
dejame ayudarte... (con eso)
necesito ayuda!
estoy perdido...
donde queda el baño?
cual es la salida?
(this ones are really useful if you're visiting another country lol)
or if you're getting to know someone:
como estas?
como te llamas?
cuantos años tienes?
donde vives?
me das tu numero de telefono?
a que hora paso por ti mañana? :P this last one is the most important!!! LOL
sounds great now for the ones i dont know if you could help me out with what they mean i would greatly appreciate it.
cuanto cuesta?
podrias ayudarme?
dejame ayudarte....leave me alone?
necesito ayuda?
estoy perdido?
...and for the most important one lol ..a que hora paso por ti manana....um does this mean at what time for tomorrow?
cuanto cuesta? how much is it?
podrias ayudarme? could you help me
dejame ayudarte... let me help you
necesito ayuda? i need help
estoy perdido? im lost!!!
a q hora paso por ti mañana? what time should i pick u up tomorrow???![]()
thank you and u right about that last one, that is pretty important lol
yeah, you might need to practice some more spanish first to get to that point... lol
but it doesnt hurt to try!![]()
lol yea i definately need to practice. so how would i say what are some of your interests?
thank you very much.
Yes, that's right, but in my opinion it sounds a bit weird; normally we'd say '¿qué te gusta hacer en tu tiempo libre?' (what do you like doing in your spare time?) or '¿cuáles son tus hobbies/pasatiempos?'
“If cats looked like frogs we'd realize what nasty, cruel little bastards they are. Style. That's what people remember.” ― Terry Pratchett.
yeah, I agree, it's more "casual"
so the most casual would be que te gusta hacer en tu tiempo libre....?
exacto!
otras preguntas you can ask when you wanna get to know somebody...
qué cosas te gusta hacer?
qué música te gusta?
cuál es tu comida favorita?
de qué signos sos/eres?jejeje... sólo bromeo
![]()
sounds good,i definately like the one question, comida es muy importante jajaja
I hear you!!! Comida es definitivamente un topico importante... at least for me!!! lol
Spe if you're talking to someone from another country or different culture, or latin heritage, that will give you a nice conversation topic![]()
yea hat is a good topic to talk about i need to learn some of the names of what some foods are called cuz if not then it would not be a good topic for me to talk about lol.but me personally the favorite food i cook is tostones, arroz con gandules y pastelillos.mmm i could eat that everyday lol.
biggest problem with spanish is knowing when to use the subjunctive
like for example
es chistoso cuando yo trate/trato de hablar ruso.
which verb is it?
because i'm using an impersonal expression and the subject changes so would it be subjunctive?
bueno papi, easy! you'll learn... yo te ayudo!!!
que rico todo esooooo!!! i want some too!!!mmmmm, se me hace agua la boca de solo pensar en comida, hehehe
@ vicious: es chistoso cuando yo trato de hablar en ruso
traté, takes a tilde, so it's past tense...
but thats not subjunctive.... if you look back in this same thread, that subject's been disclosed already. and it's much better than i could have ever explained it... plus, im really lazy LOL
but, check it out, if u guys still have doubts i'll be happy to clear them out for you, i'll make the effort![]()
do you happen to know which page of this thread it's on?
