    PLURAL FORMS
Hm... I didn`t expected our plural forms to be so complicated.
Have a good luck at learning them.

Now let`s have a deep breath and face the beast

We have plural forms for every part of the speach - noun, verb, adjective etc.

The rules for every part of speach are different. And now let`s look at them.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    VERB

You know the verb form for plural if you payed attention in the thread...

But let`s see them again :

For plural form of the verb you must know in which conjugation the verb is.
The verbs in the 3rd conjugation have difference between the other 2 conjugations...

Meaning when a verb ends in а or я in 3rd. in Singular, in plural will end like that :

    Nie ...-ме
    Vie ...-те
    Te ...т

So let`s take the verb рисувам
    in plural will be :

    ние рисуваМЕ
    вие рисуваТЕ
    те рисуваТ

in the other 2 conjugations the forms are

    Nie ...-м
    Vie ...-те
    te ...т

For example let`s take the verb играя

    In plural it will be

    ние играеМ
    вие играеТЕ
    те играяТ
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    NOUN
For making plural forms of a noun you must know in which gender is... Er made many exercises for the gendering, but if you are a new one, please look at the thread back to see how is the gendering in the bulgarian language.

Now let`s start with the male gender.

The words who are only with one sylable in plural end in the sufix - ове

    example:

    влак - влакОВЕ
    син - синОВЕ
    чин - чинОВЕ

Еxeptions make words who are from not bulgarian origin like the word филм

The other nouns in male gender in plural form end on -и

    Examples :

    филм - филмИ
    телевизор - телевизорИ

Also in male gender when you use this sufix you must know when a word ends in -к there is reduction so к becomes ц

    Examples :

    часовник - часовниЦИ
    човек - човеЦИ

    .................................................

And the last sufix is for some words in male and female gender is the sufix - e

This forms are from an old bulgarian and I`m not sure what is the rule. You just have to remember them

    мъж - мъже
    крал - крале
    цар - царе
    кон - коне
    ръка - ръце

(if someone from the bulgarians in the forum knows other forms for this sufix, please say, so i can put them in my post too, but I can`t think of more words who end in plural on the sufix - e)

    female gender

In female gender all the nouns end on -и.

    Examples :

    река - рекИ
    ябълка - ябълкИ
    планина - планинИ
    жена - женИ

If you know some exeptions, please note.

    neuter gender

There are 4 sufixes in neuter gender -а -я -та -на & -и

Words who end on -о, -це, -ще in plural end on -a

    Examples:

    селО - селА
    тялО - телА
    селЦЕ - селцА
    училиЩЕ - училищА

Some words who end on - o in singular end on -и in plural. Here they are, just remember them.

    жинотно - животнИ
    насекомо - насекомИ
    око - очИ
    ухо - ушИ

Words who end on - ие in singular end in -я in plural.

    Examples :

    изреченИЕ - изречениЯ
    събитИЕ - събитиЯ

When bulgarian words end on - e, -че, -ле & foreign words end in -и -у -ю in singular, they end in -та in plural.

    Examples:

    море - мореТА
    братче - братчеТа
    носле - нослеТА
    такси - таксиТА
    бижу - бижуТА
    меню - менюТА

Exeptions for words ending on -e in singular :

    цвете - цветЯ
    лозе - лозЯ
    море - морЯ
    поле - полЯ

You can see "моря" & "поля" only in poethical style of speaking in bulgarian (poetry or song lyrics ). Only old people say them in their life speaking...
The other two ("цветя" & "лозя") are exeptions and we use them in our modern speaking.

When words end on -ме in singular, in plural they end on -на.

    Examples :

    време - времеНА
    знаме - знамеНА

    Some nouns in neuter gender have doublette forms... You have to remember them too ;
    Here they are

    кълбо - кълба, кълбета
    коляно - колена, колене
    рамо - рамена, рамене
    крило - крила, криле
    море - моря, морета
    дърво - дърва, дървеса, дървета
    четене - четения, четена

    ІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІ ІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІ

Some words in bulgarian don`t have a plural forms.

    1) This are some abstractic words \идеализъм, любов, младост\
    2) some words for mass \студенство, захар, сол, ориз, олио\
    3) chemical elements \водород, кислород, натрий, хлор, бром\

    ІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІ ІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІІ

Some words don`t have a singular

    1) Words for things made from 2 things \очила, ножици\
    2) Some things made by many things \въглища, финанси\
    3) The word for money doesn`t have a singular to \пари\

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
