Jednu tajnu tiho govori
Sve pokloni ljudima
What You Give Is What You Get
When it comes down on a pure heart
the thing that is given only to the pure,
For everyone else I will wish the same
What this love, hidden from sight,
is giving…
Come on, when you see inside my heart,
that there is nothing there.
That there is nothing, except your name.
Here, at your doorstep
a sincere soul has fallen asleep
and it only awaits for the day, to see your face…
Hidden from your eyes,
it quietly tells a secret
Give everything to people
Because what you get is only what you give
sincerely, from your heart…
Come on, when you see inside my heart,
that there is nothing there.
That there is nothing, except your name.
Here, at your doorstep
a sincere soul has fallen asleep
and it only awaits for the day, to see your face…
Hey everybody! ^^
I was wondering if someone could please translate the following lyrics for me:
Volio bih da te ne volim
Dani k’o san, a noci bez sna
usne na usne, ti i ja
sve sto imam, tebi dugujem
a nista sem duse da ti darujem
Ljubav k’o glad, k’o sudbine mac
ti i ja, k’o dijete i plac
ako grijeh je zivot cijeli
nas grijeh je cist k’o snijeg bijeli
Volio bih da te ne volim
ako odes da te prebolim
volio bih da te ne volim
da ti crne oci ne pamtim
I left the repeats out. This is one of my most favourite songs, topped only by 'Kao Domine', and after two years I'd finally like to know what it actually means. ^^" Thank you!

Volio bih da te ne volim
I'd love not to love you
Dani k'o san, a noci bez sna
Days are like dreams, and nights without dreams
usne na usne, ti i ja
lips on lips, you and me
sve sto imam, tebi dugujem
everything I have, I due that to you
a nista sem duse da ti darujem
and I have nothing but my soul to give to you
Ljubav k’o glad, k’o sudbine mac
Love like hunger, like destiny's sword
ti i ja, k’o dijete i plac
you and me, like kid and crying
ako grijeh je zivot cijeli
if whole life is sin
nas grijeh je cist k’o snijeg bijeli
our sin is clear like white snow
Volio bih da te ne volim
I'd love not to love you
ako odes da te prebolim
if you leave, to get over you
volio bih da te ne volim
I'd love not to love you
da ti crne oci ne pamtim
not to remember your black eyes
Србија и Грчка заувек заједно!
Ελλαδα και Σερβια για πάντα μαζί!

I love that song! Great translation but, one thing..
dugujem is not due but owe (I owe to you)
Thank you so much for the translation!
Now I have one more song I love very much, if one of you would be so kind... =) Here we go:
Spavaj mi spavaj
Spavaj mi spavaj moj golube
spavaj i sanjaj da sam kraj tebe
Spavaj mi spavaj i ne budi se
Negdje daleko za nas molim se
Nek' zlatan mjesec zlati tvoje sne
nek' te jastuk ljubi, ljubi za mene
Spavaj mi spavaj i ne boj se
sve sto je lijepo u srcu ostaje
Thanks again! I'd be lost without you guys. =D
Hari Mata Hari - Spavaj Mi Spavaj ~ Sleep, Sleep
Sleep, sleep my dove
Sleep and dream that I'm beside you
Sleep, sleep and don't wake up
Somewhere far away I pray for us
Let the golden sun gild your dreams
Let your pillow kiss you, kiss you for me
Sleep, sleep and don't be affraid
Everything that is beautiful remains in the heart
translate please ))
Ti znaš sve
Ti znas da sam skitnica
stari heroj bez imena
moj svijet je ruza uvela
svaka suza kao posljednja
Jos boli i ne prestaje
a nestaje samo najdraze
ako me uhvate i odvedu
pomoli se za mene
moj bol umire, umire i nestaje
daleko od tebe
REFREN 2x
Ti znas sve, al’ ne znas, ne
ne znas meni kako je
kada snova nestane
sve polako umire
za tebe i za mene
Jos boli i ne prestaje
a nestaje samo najdraze
ako me uhvate i odvedu
pomoli se za mene
moj bol umire, umire i nestaje
daleko od tebe
Pertëj kohës e hapsirës,
tej të keqes e te mirës
Hari Mata Hari - Ti znas sve ~ You know everything
You know that I'm a wanderer
An old hero without a name
My world is a withered rose
Every tears is as if it's the last
It's still hurting and it won't stop
Only the dearest things disappear
If they catch and take me away
Pray for me
My pain is dying, dying and disappearing
Far away from you
Ref.
You know everything, but you don't know, no
You don't know how I'm feeling
When my dreams vanish
Everything slowly dies
For you and for me
Hey guys,
I was wondering if one of you would be so kind to translate these two songs for me?
Da mi je ova pamet bila
Ne mogu te kupiti
nit’ te mogu vratiti
ne mogu te kupiti
nemam dukat zut
Lako cu bez ljubavi
al’ bez tebe suza mi
lako cu bez ljubavi
pokazi mi put
Da mi je, da mi je, ova pamet bila
ti ne bi me ostavila
da mi je, da mi je, ova pamet bila
znam nocas bi me opet ljubila
Dolazim pod prozore
pa sam budan do zore
dolazim pod prozore
al’ te ne smijem zvat’
Nocas bi’ te ljubio
makar sve izgubio
nocas bi’ te ljubio
al’ mi neces dat’
and
Reci sreco
Evo caru carevo
evo Bogu bozije
evo srcu njegovo
nikome je ne dugujem
Sta ce meni mrvice
crno-bijele slicice
ata ce meni kad ja nemam
kraj sebe moje jedine
Reci sreco sta cu ja
sam na ovoj planeti
kad ti nisam nikada
bio ni na kraj pameti
Igrao je jedan film
koji mi nismo gledali
sanjao sam jedan san
koji skupa nismo sanjali
Prolazile godine
drugi se voljeli
prolazile pored nas
mi smo nekog cekali
Please, and thank you very much in advance! =D

PS: Maybe someone could clear something up for me: Hari sings in Bosnian, right? I've seen people on the internet saying it's Serbian, but I am way too inexperienced with these languages to tell the difference. So, what language is it, exactly? Thanks again!
Experience can't help much on the subject
The final answer is that he sings in Bosnian (only because he is from Bosnia) but I guess there are some songs where you can't tell the difference because there is no difference.
e.g. the song Da mi je ova pamet bila - is completely Serbian
If I just saw the lyrics of the second song I would say it's Croatian. Only because it contains the words bijele and skupa (Serbian would be bele and zajedno; otherwise - there is no difference.)
I see.
I didn't know the three languages were THAT similar to each other. I was a little confused, I recently bought a book, because I got it into my head that I really wanted to learn Bosnian, and it said that Bosnian is more similar to Croatian, and that it shares stronger similarities with, what was it, Turkish? than the other two (because of the Bosnian history) and so on...
Oh well, but from now, when I tell my friends about Hari, I can say he sings in Bosnian, that's good. Thank you!
That would be like saying (linguistically, not politically) that Afrikaans has more in common with Rundi than with Dutch because its spoken in Africa. All kinds of morons get to pollute books with their opinions nowadays.
To throw in my (boorish) ten cents: Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian and Montenegrin all evolved from the same ancient south-slavic language (which in turn branched from proto-slavic) and they interacted greatly throughout history- that is they exchanged (sometimes peacefully sometimes not) customs, written and oral tradition and even lands and accordingly inhabitants. There was and to a lesser extent still is a whole mish-mash of dialects on the territory of what once was Yugoslavia. At the the end of the 19th century Croats and Serbs picked some standards, dialects and accents each and said- this is Croatian or this is Serbian. Bosnians did the same, but since they didn't have any political weight at that time they were ignored (due to being Muslims on a, as of recently, christian dominated Balkan.) Curiously the standard forms of all four languages are based on Eastern-Herzegovinan, a dialect spoken in it's purest form in Bosnia.
I personally believe that it's all a single language with normal variations (Berliners have more trouble understanding a Bavarian than I have a Dalmatian, or New Yorkers a Cockney), but since we can't agree on a common name we cling to the differences and try to make them bigger to stake our claims (see "zrakomlat"-idiocies.) But that multitude of names is also necessary I think: I sure as hell won't agree to call my language Serbian (why should I, my people spoke and still speak a variation of it for just as long as Serbs or Croats or Montenegrins speak their variations.) As a side note, during my education it was called by the powers that be (in chronological order): Serbo-Croatian (in kindergarten), Bosnian, Native (lit. Mother) Language and BHS.
For you as a stranger: Whichever language you choose to learn- you'll understand and be understood by speakers of the other three. Also I doubt anyone would get offended by you "wrongly" identifying their language (still happens to me)- but everyone sure as hell will correct you.
Well in the same sense that a Serbian only speaks Serbian because he was born there. Or a German only speaks German because he was birthed there. Pretty inane statement, no offense.
To make matters simpler I would agree with whoever said that: "a language is a dialect with an army and a navy." Given that only the Croatians and the Montenegrins have a Navy, I propose we agree to call it Croato-Montenegrin or Montenegrin-Croatian. Alternately, "Cronegrin" is probably the easiest to spell; assuredly easier than "the central-south-slavic diasystem." or "BHSC."
